I actually prefer column shifter over a center console shifter in a pickup. It keeps the center console are less cluttered. With that being said, I do wish GM would have when with a push-button type or rotary knob shifter. When the user enabled manual mode, then select the gear using some type of paddle mechanism on the steering wheel.
They made the new silverado/GMC to fit the needs of many different uses and working situations...I've always been a bow tie fan and these trucks are up to date and are best in there class
on LTZ models you get projector beam headlights, which are standard on the Sierra. Not sure if either will have HID but yea they've gone to projector style. Think it helps produce better light or sumin, not 100% sure.
its easier to turn a knob than to pull a lever, just like shift on the fly systems. if you plow and need to constantly shift into reverse and drive i could see it being a big convenience.
i to agree that chevy should make also with the high upgrade truck like the high country it should have a floor shift, its time they should look in to that , and what about allison 7 speed transmissions, more gears better miles to

Hey at least the gear selection is on the wheel and out of the way. I dont know why most cars are putting them in the center taking up storage space. Unless its part of that underarm clutch thing.
I agree with you man. I like them and there nice looking but there to edgy and boxy looking like a hummer. I've always been a chevy fan and forever will be. Idk I'll just probably grow in to it and get use to looking at it like that lol.
one. very easy to take off two. the low ones u see witch where i live there not that low so maybe its just an american thing and isnt as low in canda but they all have been at a good level and if ur going to go off roading with it ur going to lift it anyways. if ur going to go offroad do it right and set up ur truck right or dont do it at all
but also thats what makes chevy and GM there own brand and there own set of trucks because they dont conform to what critics want or say, i mean look at how long GM was catching bad reveiws because of there interior, GM didnt care, thats there look and thats there style, its a work truck not some classy cruise vehicle, there trucks were made for performance not looks and many people talk shit about it because they wont conform to other companies, be real or be gone!!
y reason an IFS fails is when a guy makes a sled truck puts all this power in it and dosent do anything to the front end to make sure it can deal with that added power or a guy dosent know how to go off road properly or takes his trucks on trails that they were never ment to go on other then that an ISF is perfectly fine
why is it that i cant seem to find any numbers on the 6.2? all videos and web pages i come across have all the numbers to the v6 and the 5.3 but none for the 6.2. i just wanna see how much more power they made out of the 6.2
Hate to tell him that my 09 Tahoe LTZ and 2013 Silverado both use 4 cylinder mode in Tow haul. Turning a button to put one in gear like Ram would be weird, don't do it.
i love the new front face of the silverado, but the round light is cool but they should of put the square ones instead of the round , it would look more rough and beastly as it is , but i dont get if they got all this eco styling , why the v6 could only hit 286 bhp than 386bhp, 286 is like car like bhp for a truck, chevy we love u, but u got to up u power and stop playing with it , i think the 4.3 had to have the power of the 5.3 and the 5.3 had to have the power of 2011 6.2
i know right gm and chevy are the only trcks that dont have it ford dodge toyota and nissan all have center shifters and i hate that more then anything
I can't believe he said he wants a center console shifter like ford or dodge. That would be the worst thing ever. It's a truck not a car the shifter stays on the steering colim Gmc and chevy are the only trucks that are still trucks
i got the chance to drive the new 2014 gmc sierra and chevy silverado today and all i can say is fucking amazing and really ur pissed off at alittle peace of plastic? big deal u know thats y there are things called tools u dont like just take it off theres ur ground clearance back. and ive never see one with plastic fenders only time ive seen that is ones that have been damaged and had to get a new fender like ur nit picking at nothing
Yea sure, The front fenders are probably still made of plastic, and I can't believe the idiots at GM repeated the same stupid piece of plastic under the front bumper from the 90's that will just get ripped off when you scrape the ground or get stuck with that nice lowered half a foot of ground clearance they give you. As much as i love Chevy/GM they just never seem to learn until they are getting bailed out again. Hopefully they do the Lift Kit+Mud tires combination again from factory.
then u really need to look up ur facts as well as in every report they put gmc and chevy a 2 different trucks yet u all say there the same so if u add there sales together they out sell every other truck by a land slide. and where i like (alberta canada) gmc and chevys are the most seen trucks on the road and as it is true in the oil sands we use fords but thats cuz we dont give to shits about them and only last maybe 2 job sites while are chevy/gmc trucks last up to 5-8 job sites cuz they last
your wrong, chevy/gmc could have done a better job on these trucks, but they did not an they truck sits to low for any offroading the front air dam will drag just like mine and all the rest...poor in my opinion
How will it give the competition anything to worry about? This pickup just finally copied the competition...everything you listed this having the Ford already has.
