Great video man! Just bought a brand new 2015 Ford Fiesta ST about 2 weeks ago and I could not be happier with my decision. I am taking her to Sebring Raceway in about a month to see how it performs on a track.
Nice run. Didnt even know these ST's exist till a few weeks ago. Having owned an fa5 and loved it, the ST is deffinatley an awesome competitor. Bolt ons and a tune outputs are ridiculous!! Cobb stage 3 ftw.
Just picked a fiesta ST up last month to DD. I love the little thing. Same color too. I'm trying really hard not to beat on it too much though since It's supposed to be my gas saver/commuter car but it loves it! I'll try to cut back and just beat on my STi instead. Awesome runs. I ran a 13.3 in my STi so I'm not too much faster! I'm not a straight line guy though lol
First off I do like hondas I think they are very well engineered, but everyone on here is saying how much better the si is with minor bolt ons... that goes for both cars the st with the cobb stage 1 kit is amazing or if you have the money to go for the mountune kit its a beast... cars are just like everything else.... to each his own... great run man would love to see the stage 1 on the track
speedprotege no worries, quick question though I went to the drag strip and put it on race mode and launcged around 3k what was you launch and your set up for such a sweet time
+Matthew Sladky Downlaod it from the internet put it on a USB stick and load it on the car.www.focusst.org/forum/attachments/focus-st-electronics/1111d1350585659-how-change-wallpaper-my-ford-touch-system-mft_st-logo_v4.jpg
Can't compare a natural aspirated engine to a turboed. Turbo is a different level. Even the NA is tuned. But still SI won. That damn SI. Still the best.
An intake, whether short ram or cold air, adds no horsepower what so ever on a non tuned car. Exhaust may have upped it 1-10 hp tops since Hondas have heavy restrictions on the exhaust manifold going out. Either way Honda builds great NA engines with great hp. Good run though.
Roland Ardon Lol, you obviously don't know anything about fa5's if you think you're running 13's without boost. www.8thcivic.com/forums/bolt-ons-all-motor/292852-whats-your-stock-si-1-4-mile-time.html#/forumsite/20689/topics/292852?page=2
My 2012 civic si E/I/ Hondata run in the low 14 sec i got 14.9 when i miss shifted my 4 gears ( not an over rev but it dont grip ) fiesta pull Well y CAN see the turbo spoiling
I had an 08 Si sedan with I/H/E with a tune, and yes you need a tune or the bolt ons are useless and if this guy was tuned he's a pretty shitty driver, my worst run with the setup was 14.5 my best was 14.1, I have friends that have run 13.9 with just bolt on's and a tune, this Fiesta driver still did well, The the best I could ever pull stock in my Si was a 15.1
You are sadly mistaken. The k series engines proved very well with just bolt Ons. They responded well to bolt Ons alone. The tune of course bumps it up, but to say bolt Ons don’t do anything with out tune is a huge misunderstanding.
I've recently drove both and overall I'd have to say the ST definitely put a bigger smile on my face, more bang for the buck. Pretty practical car too.
the fiesta is 21k, wrx is 26k, with just a little more horsepower. Don't waste 5 grand for a slightly faster car. Instead, put the 5 grand into the fiesta you can get a much faster car than a wrx
IHE will definitely make a difference on the Civic, but at best, I think the ST can tie it. Not on hating US cars either. I drive a Sonic, lol. It's shit and will try to kill me someday, but I still love it.
+xlaostha704x civic has top end, the little 1.6 is a mid range engine so do the math. plus the fiesta makes 197hp on overboost for 10s then falls back down to 170hp. so which is the real winner?
Every fiesta video I'm seeing . I see they have just terrible gearing . You gotta shift them at the worst times imo. The gears need to be abit longer or abit shorter ..atleast the 1st 2
190 hp vs 201 hp, turbo vs non turbo w/ Vtech so what's the difference? The real hater here is that people think that they always have that old technology they have been boasting almost obsolete.
ghost32 fiesta is a 1.6 That’s .4 displacement less than the civic. And the turbo on the fiesta isn’t much to brag about. About the size of my right nut
Lol Just another fantastic comment, as i own a civic. Every little bit counts when it comes to displacement. I hope you get wiser when you grow up kid.
the only difference..is one is a ford the other is a real car. meaning this ford after 5 years would be done for. in 2 if you rev it often. for this lil k20 babey tho. can do 8 thousand all day everyday and the only thing you need is oil 🤣
How so? The 2.4 is .2 quicker in the quarter than the k20 is.... not even gonna get into modding a k series... pit down more power on 6 psi than the ford could do fully built
My fiesta would of eaten that civic. I eat v6 mustangs all day. 212 whp/280 wtq, however most of my torque is useless lol since it's at 2,500 rpm. I went with 7.5 width motegi's on stock 140 treadwear potenzas which helped with traction a lot.
+aaron Daniels lmao I doubt he'll ever wanna line up again but I'll ask him and I personally like the fiesta so I'm not hating on it or anything it's deff a nice car
