I do have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee, a 2001 Grand Cherokee and my wife have a 2012 Grand Cherokee and thinking of this one for me but in SRT, so you can certainly said that we are a Jeep faithful family lol :)...nice review new guy...
Carlos Martin Del Campo if you plan on keeping your jeep you might want to consider getting a lifetime warranty thru Mopar. i just got it last month ($3,800).
He said in the first part of the film that it had the 3.6L V6? Then it turned out to be the 5.7L V8? Then he forgot to say something about the 6.4L V8 in the SRT8 when listing the available motors but did put it in the discussion. Love the new Grand Cherokee with its available Harman/Kardon 19 Speaker, 825 Watt audio system and the 4x4 trail rated bundle with the Eco-Diesel.
I was watching a bunch of videos on the 2014 GJC and they say the 5.7 is a must as the smaller engine just can't cut it.....not a fan of diesel and haven't researched it
That's funny because Ralph Gilles was quoted as saying that if you have to have a V8 in the 2014 JGC, get the SRT because the 5.7 is a dog. I would know, I have one in my 2011 JGC Overland. I am hoping the new 8-speed will have fixed some of the less desirable characteristics of the 5.7, as I am looking at a '14 JGC Summit.
You can not get the German competition for that money. If you want one less costly suv, please consider: FIAT Freemont, Land Rover, Dacia Duster, Renault Koleos or Citroen C-Crosser.
As an English man, I can truthfully say I hate how Brit's accents turn a bit weird when they've been living in the states for a while. It sounds weird :P
@William Santiago Are you serious how is it not? If anything it's not worth paying the price for a Mercedes or BMW when you can get something like the GC that's just as luxurious and more capable.
No actual footage of this guy driving off-road? Or even public roads? This guy is just turning circles in a parking lot somewhere. Also, did he forget the addition of the new 8-speed transmission throughout the entire Jeep lineup? Also, only mentioned the V6 Diesel, which is sure to be the sweet spot in the lineup, once?
Absolutely no idea where you got those figures from. Jeep GC Limited = £36,995 Audi Q7 starts at £43,660 Volkswagen Touareg starts at £38,160 Mercedes ML250 CDI starts at £44,340 RWD 4 cylinder BMW X5 starts at £46,520 Much higher specified Jeep GC Overland 4X4 V6 = £45,695 And it's not like there's a huge difference in interior quality anymore either.
Yes those prices sound more accurate than mine. Just replying to your 20% better for 50% more price. I'd rather have one of the German cars than top of the range overland
Yeah looks BIG but you put anything small in front of it will be. It's a advertising ploy, check out how close the stearing wheel is at 4:15. Us Brit's are smarter.
Age doesn't have much to do with your height. You'll reach your peak around 21. His genes are just short, while maybe you're an early bloomer and will only grow a couple more inches. What goes around, comes around. Don't make fun of someone.
Wow, 45k up to 62k, you could get a good car for that money. The build quality along with rude, ignorant customer will keep customers away. I like the looks of the Jeep, it's just not worth the price of a Mercedes, Audi or.BMW.
Voting with my feet(or rather clicks) as well and unsubscribing until you guys bring back Ron or get a better reviewer. Maybe you guys will realize the mistake if enough of us leave and it really hits your view count.
Ford F350 handles better on a twisty road than GC with air suspension and the interior in GC feels cheap and doesn't give a solid feel - even 8000 euro hatchback feels more solid. Fiat can do good things, so hopefully Jeep will come around.
It might be a good car, and sell like hot cakes, but its still not as good as any of the European competition. Compare it to a ML, Q7, X5, Range Rover...and its nowhere near.
Please change the reviewer! Or I'm out. He's filthy jacket is a disrespect to its job and to the viewers. If he doesn't care for his appearance, why should we for watching Autobytel? He's reviews are most about the presenter and little about the cars, the drive or things that keeps the audience engaged... And what about his knowledge of cars? "In fact the whole interior engineering team of Jeep..." Well, mister fancy pants. The looks of the interior are the work of the interior design team.
That's it. This guy is terrible. After subbing this channel for what must be 2 years, I'm out.If anyone knows where Ron Doron went please let me know. Too many other good car review channels to waste my time with this. Unsubbed.
These newer vehicles are not meant for off roading they are meant for idiots that don't know how to drive through snow in the winter in the city, now for country people like me a 1996 jeep Cherokee that's meant for off roading.
J.R. Adam I came to see how it compares to the range rover, end result it does not, the range rover is just ahead, i don't know what awards this guy is talking about coz the range rover would have won
Nicholas Mazaras Exactly, I've owned an LR4 and a Range Rover Sport and the Jeep Summit should be compared to a LR4 where I'd say they match each other. The RR's are better but cost so much more. I've ordered a Jeep Summit, arrives next month. Why? Because it is the best value-for-money option. Sure, the RR's are better but having owned one I find the difference isn't worth the extra - for me, that is but obviously, if money is no option and you have to have the best then the RR takes the prize.
