Thanks for your added tips! How you showed the difference in head size between the valve body mounting bolts and the ones holding the valve body together was really helpful.
Thank you so much. I was racking my brain trying to find the spring I thought I lost. Even went to dealer to ask for help, but they wanted a 2 month out 175.00 appointment just to ask a question . JimHudson ford in Lexington SC
DIYers like Patman can explain it better then a mechanic like loco loco I have seen his videos and loco loco excepts you to no things as if we are all mechanics .. I like how patman clears up the NOT so obvious for regular guys that don’t do this for a living thank you for that Pat 🤙
Brian, over at Makuloco, is a professional and certified Ford technician with more credentials than most of us put together. He does it for a living and provides for his family in that since, he does the best that he can with the time that he has to get the job out the door in a professional and meticulous way. I drove from Dallas TX all the way to the Chicago outskirts to drop off my truck to have Brian address a laundry list of things to include the Lead frame..because I don't trust my local dealers and the job is above my pay grade! He certainly isn't a shade tree mechanic. I dropped it off and picked it up 3 weeks later. I travel to Chicago 5 or 6 times a year and took advantage of it. Having him work on my truck was worth every penny and worth my time! I recognize if a job is above my pay grade even though I work on my vehicles quite a bit. If anyone has any questions, hit him up at his Yorkville shop... I'd use him routinely if he wasn't so far. I guess I'll just put together a 2nd laundry list for my nest trip to IL.
Thanks for this video!! I was doing my 15 and I looked for over an hour for the spring that isn't there! I knew I was watching for it because I had watched his video as well.
I'm going to replace the lead frame in my 2015 F150 this weekend. How did you hold the thermostat valve in place? BTW this is a great update... just what I needed!
Did you have to do any re-programming of the lead frame after you installed the new lead frame ? ( I have read alot of info about the new lead frame has to be reprogrammed but no one shows how to do this. I'm not 100% sure if this re-programming is required or not....any help on this would be appreciated ). Also can you provide a short video ( 1 or 2 min ) to give an update on how your transmission is performing after the lead frame and tranny fluid change. Thanks
It's a bolt on (no programming) It's my buddies truck, he took it on a road trip right after this, and he's probably has atleast 5k miles since the repairs were done
