Thank you SO MUCH for this video!! I have the same car and exact same problem. Took it to burns chevy and they couldn’t figure it out because it had dried up by that time and wasn’t having an issue anymore. A week later we get heavy rain and same thing. My dad found your video and was able to fix it. Still got to find the leak but fixed the connectors and got it running right. Thanks again hope you have much success!!
You can close a vehicle up with an airline blowing shop air into the interior and spray soap water around the windshield to find a leaking windshield. We used to test semi trucks that had water intrusion like that. Doing research is where it’s at. Seeing the TSB was priceless.
I hope by now the problem has been fixed. I know what I would have done before that vehicle went back. I saw this happen to an older vehicle back in the late 80's. I cleaned out the PCM as best as I could, then wrapped the wiring and PCM then told the customer to take it back ASAP to the windshield installer and make sure they fixed it correctly. The car ran better after my cleaning of the PCM. I don't know if the customer brought the car back to the glass installer. I gasped when I saw you pick up that passenger side rug! The customer better have the glass installer clean up that mess or that floor pan's a goner! ! ! GOOD ONE OZ!
Yea, I showed the shop I was working with pictures and videos of the repair. I saw as I dropped it off he already had the glass installer there waiting and got a guy to clean the floor
I was going to say passenger side leaking wouldn’t get water in the driver side too so I would say both sides are leaking I would look at the driver fuse box also
water testing always start from the bottom work your way up also you could spray around the window with soapy water and air line low pressure and blow gun to see where the leak is
i should have said spray soapy water outside and use air blow gun from the inside and see bubbles happen the chance is when they replaced the glass they slammed the door before the bonding sealer had set and the force poped a hole in the sealer i learned this back in the day @@OzMechanics
For problems with sealing windshield use soapy water and shop air/compressed air. Spray the edges with soapy water and blow air from the inside. It will show for sure.
