I have a Lincoln MKT with the same issue but I also my battery and alternator are weak do you think these what might be causing it? Since it’s electric steering
I’ve dealt with bad motors on these before. I checked the communication to the module with a scope. Then I checked the amp draw with the scope and you could see for a tiny moment when plugging the motor it the would spike at over 60 amps. Both motors did this and both were bad. My guess is that they tried to use them to clear ice off of the windshield and burnt them both out.
My oil pressure sensor is stock on 80 in my 2007 Silverado. As I am driving on the road, suddenly it slows down and the engine light turns on and stays driving more slowly for a while. Could this be another sign that I should change it? I will change it tomorrow but I wanted to know if it could be something else to be changed. I have 176K miles. Thank you.
Legit IV fixed a couple of these with similar issues. Last one was a fiesta. Customer took it to his regular shop. They charge him 65 bucks to transfer codes from scan tool to receipt. So he stopped wanted appointment. I made it for 10 days out. He was like any sooner. I'm like fuck it I'll give ya 15 minutes. I seen they were b codes. Remembering a does focus I worked on that the plug in passenger footwell ( I think BCM) come unplugged. Got something to kneel on and boom there it was. Lock lever on connecter was undone. I snap it over and ding ding chime went. When he asked how much do I owe I shoulda told him double what the other guy charged you. He got out for 20 bucks
First channel that takes the time to explain and display the wiring diagram and scope display clearly, Thanks for that I think I will be able to learn how to read the wiring diagrams now .Liked and Subscribed!
@@OzMechanics l like how you have the arrow that points to a specific line on the wiring diagrams, it makes it easier to follow you , also you explain modules or lines that are only shown as abbreviations.
Oz, you are dealing with total absolute incompetence! Not a doubt or question! Kings of part swapping! Have you driven a Ford lately? Quality is job NONE!
@@OzMechanics Goodness NO... You are the best! Been doing this since points, carbs & generators. And half the world does some parts swapping and the other half does nothing but parts swap & guess!
The LIN line module was not working on the driver side. So when I moved it to the passenger side the LIN line was not used. And when I moved the passenger to the driver side it restored LIN communication to the wiper motor. Does that make sense ?
LOL, I thought it was going to turn out to be the battery monitor. I just had an issue with my wife's 2012 explorer where the A/C would quit working intermittently and I couldn't figure out why. it was never broke when I hooked the scantool to it. it finally broke while I was in it so I left it running and hooked the scantool to it and found that the pressure switch was not reading correctly. Common problem so I replaced it, still broke. I went to alldata and pulled the wiring diagram and it showed a 5v reference wire on it so i pulled up that pid and it was fluctuating from 2-5 volts. turns out the Battery current sensor on the same 5v ref wire was going bad and taking out the 5v reference after running for a while and heating up. Btw, enjoying the content, keep up the great work. I have actually been to that shop before, but that was may years ago when another Gentleman owned it. I just live about a mile from there down Red Bluff.
wow. thats wierd. sad thing is the scan tool didnt say they were permanent codes. plus there is no way to test activate the motors without the lin working. old days just toss a jumper wire on it! not no mo

Great way to demonstrate the efficacy of the product. I have an oder for the same product arriving today for my 2009 Ford Flex. Changed fluid, did an upgrade to my valve with the Transgo shift kit, but nothing had changed in regards to the shuddering, especially under towing load. The tranny was rebuilt in 2019, too. I will let you know how it goes.
I have a question,.I have a 2012 ford fusion with the same power steering module and it does NOT work but my question is,is there anyway to make it easier to steer somehow until I can get the new module????

No it isn't how it suppose to work. I had my headlights on and off and it doesn't affect voltage drop. AC/fan drop 2 volts down. Voltmeter shows 11.8V while car is running with AC/fan on. Brand new battery not getting enough of charge, and shows 12V instead of 12.4v
Thanks to everyone involved great podcast , it's always interesting listening to those who you have a great respect for learning how they have achieved their success . Form an Aussie follower thank you .🇦🇺
Do you have a vid on how to troubleshoot a fuel leak on an E350 (2008 PZEV)? Fuel pump was just replaced and after filling it up over 1/2 a tank, it started to leak near the rear right wheel.
