2015 FORD FUSION; REAR BRAKES 

While I didn't do it in the video, because it was a brand new caliper, I just watched a 2 minute video illustrating how to put the car into maintenance mode. It electronically backs off the caliper as it advances over time to account for pad wear. Sounds like bologna to me.... Thanks for watching 👍😁

You need two people. Have one person apply the brakes, crack the bleeder screw loose, the pedal should slowly go down, once it stops close the bleeder screw, repeat. Check out my video on the brake master cylinder replacement. I manually bleed the master cylinder, on the truck, with the help of my wife. It will be the same procedure except at the rear brake bleeder screw. Thanks for watching 👍😁

I never utilized maintenance mode. I feel from my perspective I would try disconnecting the electronic actuator from the caliper and manually turning the caliper in. It's essentially the same procedure I performed; remove the actuator from the old caliper and re-install it on the replacement unit. Best of luck and thanks for watching 👍😁

It's not required if the old caliper is in good condition; crank in the piston, clean the slides and away you go. Thanks for watching! 👍😁

Are we turning the hex key toward the front or the back of the vehicle?

@@aarondavisjr.3775 It should be a standard thread fastener (right tightly / lefty loosy when facing the head of the fastener). As the hex is shown in the video, towards the front

I did not manipulate the electronics of the system. I bleed the calipers as I would any traditional style caliper and then I cycled the parking brake a few times. Thanks for watching! 👍😁
