I have a '14 sedan in this exact color though the red seats clash with the bright orange exterior. It's a terrific car, very reliable, easy to maintain and a blast to drive.
I swapped the boat anchor wheels for lighter ones and installed H&R springs and the chassis came alive. This car is often underrated by the press and was very refreshing to see a reviewer appreciate it for what it is. I have owned everything under the sun and this car does not disappoint.
I'm right there with ya! i have a 15' coupe that i daily.I love that its the last N/A Si! i also drive a c7 z06 and while that thing is a monster that car wears you out after awhile this Si is just fun to drive i could drive it for days and not get tired of it.
I have this car and have the same very few issues with it. Namely that the red upholstery clashes with the orange body color. And the shifter does get freaking hot! But I love, love, love this car. Sweet ride, both sporty and comfortable at the same time.
shift knob gets hot in the summer heat and cold in the winter. I wear a fingerless glove most of the time. I'm about to get a foam/cushion like knob cover.
Great review, Sam! I really like this in sedan form. I totally agree with you on the red/black seats for every paint color. It really clashes with orange and blue especially.
Nice Review Sam...my only complaint is that duel layer Speedometer and Tach...Honda used to make some nice traditional gauges...otherwise its a great car.
I like it too it was so 80s retro futuristic in my opinion and I also hate the 2016's return to he boring traditional way. I test drove one and I was like ugh I have to look down to see how fast I'm going, that's inconvenient.
+Ryan M. Thank you. The next Honda we have coming is a Pilot. We're told a 2016 Civic is coming our way but we don't know specs on it yet. Thing about Honda is they sell so well, they don't NEED to keep a lot of press cars in the fleets ;).
I own the '13 coupe, black on black. Much better looking car than the '14 which had 'flared nostrils' and those funky colored seats. My car doesn't have the info system so I have this cool volume control know smack in the middle of the dash. Curve around towards the driver dashboard rocks. First saw it on the old Pontiac Gran Prix. He's right about the hot shifter knob and smooth ride albeit with some body lean on curves. Stiff suspension would ruin the car as a daily driver. I'm stoked!
I just picked up my '15 Si last month and can't wait to drive it everyday. I've already taken it over 1000 miles (good thing I didn't lease it). It's just a great car which is fun to bring up to speed. The price is great & the features are outstanding. Go get one!
I wanted the fire orange so bad but those red and black seats killed it for me so I got the red. The seats look cool but not with that exterior.... I don't mind them with the white exterior but I agree....should've offered optional interior. Too late now.
V-Tec lights= factory tachometer. Four yellow lights then two red. When racing you want to shift at the first red mostly. Dont shift over 7300rpm as its not good and a waste. The max peak power is at 7200rpm and thats where the red lights come on and also the reason the lights are calibrated to certain rpm.
5:20 ....Hmmmm. My ST is turbo'd (stock turbo) and it's completely predictable in that the torque steer is so minimized, there is virtually no turbo lag at all, and I get my peak torque just 3,000 rpms. Every time. I don't get these fluctuations you speak of? It's a small turbo though.
itsamemario333 I think he means the engine pulls harder the more you push rev it. I have the old k20 engine for my fun car and I just got an ST as my daily driver. The ST theres a lot of power all the way up to like 5000 rpm than tails off. with the SI thats where the power starts. SO it just feels different. the st i drive pretty relaxed and its pretty quick. In the Si, prefers to be driven hard.
i am not saying that all the Honda cars are junk i didn't mean it like that , but why did so many thing happen to our car, it haven't passed over 130 km an hour and the haven even slipped on the road, well i have 33 thousand km on my Nissan 2012 and nothing happened that, and it was not driving bad ,would be possible that a few are lemons? well i still believe that Honda is the best car to buy tho, and we are broken heated and sorry , that the Honda that we bought was like this. i had older cars like 10 years old the shocks didn't freeze up, the old air conditioner worked like new , the staring wheel was strait never worn a tire crocked, and it was not ruff, we only have 16000 km and very easy ones, it's heart breaking , well thy are good Honda cars, we just couldn't believe that all that happened to a car we bought new that we strongly believed in, and all this happens to it with no mileage on it like new, i hope that no one will have this kind troubles with there new car, god bless
