Just imagine if Montoya had stayed in Indycar after 2000. I would put money down that he would be a 4 time winner at the brickyard. 2 wins at indy with 3 tries he's a hell of a driver
Hahaha... I am probably one of the few people to see both his Indy wins and the track drier incident in-person. That was one of only 2 Daytonas I ever went to with my dad.
Now this upload caught me by surprise, great job guys! Will you continue uploading full races of this year? Also some "good quality" uploads from classic CART/IRL races? (Like upload the classic races of the upcoming race in the series, for example IRL Texas 2002).
Had F1 and NASCAR giving Montoya priority in the team, he might had won more races respectively. However, Montoya goes down as one of the top 5 of all time
+Cars show Island Most of the Indy 500s since 1946 have been uploaded to youtube. The full race did not begin being recorded and aired until the 1970's. Full complete live telecast were not aired until the mid 1980's. The vast majority of Indy 500 footage exist in the form of highlight films produced by the Indianapolis Speedway.
What a battle to the line Juan is back win Monaco F1 Indy 500 now only Le Mans & he had the tripple lots of action & crashes but the last 20 laps was crazy
+Otto Vanluchene Takuma SPLAT-o... at least in F1 it was the "peak" of his "career"... now he's just an old has-been taking out potential champs. What a waste of pavement, fuel, rubber and track fees that "driver" is.
I've kind of lost count how many infamous F1 collisions he got himself into, but I do know that he got disqualified in his 2005 Japanese GP after clattering Jarno Trulli's Toyota out of the race. Taku had already hit Michael Schumacher during the 2005 Belgian Grand Prix, with both drivers out of the race...
+Brian Wong ...yeah! not bad for racing vet with 7 F1 GPrix wins, 15 pole positions, 15 fastest laps, and still 15 years later he is holding the lap record from Malasya GPrix, Brazilian GPrix and Monza GPrix... this last by the way.... the fastest lap ever in all Formula 1 history!! Not only he leaved a mark in Formula one, but was also Karting world champion (twice), Mexican Formula N champion, British F-3000 champion, US CART champion, Indy 500 double race winner, Monaco GPrix race winer, Daytona 24 Hours race winer, Nascar race winner, F1 race winner, CART race winer, IRL race winer, F-3000 race winer, American LeMans race winer, Indy Car race winner. No body, and I mean no body in the world have raced and achieved so many victories in so many different racing leagues like Juan Pablo Montoya...quite posibly the greatest car driver of this generation.
If anyone at IndyCar is paying attention, I have something to say here. I do not have a tv. So I depend on RU-vid for all my viewing of anything and everything. RU-vid is my only chance to see the WHOLE telecast of the 500. I find sooooo many uploads of Indy 500s and other IndyCar races that do NOT include the pre race programming, but rather, they begin with the start of the engines, or worse yet, the pace lap. It's as if the people uploading the video assume no one cares about anything EXCEPT the actual race itself, so they just chop off the whole pre race. BUT, there are those of us who DO enjoy and even look forward to all the build up of that final hour before the start of the race. There are special features that I enjoy seeing that I might not see anywhere else, and they chop them all off, because they assume no one is interested in anything but the race itself. If ANYONE was going to upload the entire telecast from start to finish, I would think YOU, INDYCAR, would be the first in line. I don't have to tell you that Indy is all about history and tradition. But when you upload this video WITHOUT that hour of pre race programming, you do all of us and the speedway a great injustice.
Yes I found the whole thing from IndyCar Yesterday. Maybe what I told them here got through to the right people and they started making some changes. Thank you for the reply.
Sato causing a first lap crash once again...gee, what a surprise. Just like Pocono 2019....he's inept, a danger to others and shouldn't be anywhere near a racecar imho.
Nice idea to upload the complete race, but oh god is it awful quality. You converted an interlaced source into a progressive video without deinterlacing (that mistake was done a lot in the past on this channel) and it's without sound during what were US ad-breaks. On the live telecast in Europe we had awesome sound from the engines when ABC did their ad-breaks. Whoever is in charge of this channel should turn to other duties.
What if lead changes and actually watching cars interact with each other is your thing? How can Europeans watch f1? What if watching players do something other than slowly jog around and occasionally kick a ball isn't your thing? How can Europeans watch soccer or rugby?
+Audioquest56 Totally agree. There is nothing attractive about these things at all. They can't seem to make up their minds as to whether they want open-wheelers or sports cars. Utter rubbish hybrid design now. Best Indy period IMO.....1960 - 1972.
Que comentaristas tan desabridos jajajjaja se nota que no les hizo ni pizca de gracia que se la llevara juanpa y que se las ganara desde el ultimo lugar! Se les nota una “emoción” jajajja
Id so want to sponsor a women driver for the onboard camera. Every time they cut to her, and as its america they would have to refer to the camera as having a "Baby on board" :P
