100 miles into thin air with 15,000' of climb, llamas, a naked spaceman, NO FALLS and some of the best people in the world. BUCKLE BABY! 4th in 4 years, but it's never a sure thing and this year proved that once again. Epic event with incredible crew, pacers, volunteers and race organizers. Tough race? Only 48% of those who started actually made it back to the finish line in Leadville, if that gives you an idea. Be sure to stick around for the bonus material in the 2nd half of the vid.

Magnificent! Cool to see how you keep a positive vibe, although you are clearly suffering from time to time. Humor works! I was doing some great (half marathon) trail running in national parcs in Belgium, but now I'm stuck with a fibula stress fracture. But that won't keep me from starting again once it's over. Can't wait!

Thanks, Rick . . . I should have noted the temp at that point in the race was about 25 degrees which makes the naked storm trooper part all the much more impressive.

Way to go! Cool vid. No falls? You rock! I just completed a North Face 50 miler and ate it over and over. Hopefully I'll get in a 100 miler before my knees give out ;-)

Love the videos Eric. I watch all of them for motivation. Motivation may not get me to the finish line but it sure gets my ass up and out for another training run. Thanks for that. Leadville 2018. Hope to see you there.

Eric, six weeks to go - I'm feeling hugely under-trained for this event. Your videos have been great motivation/inspiration. Any last minute tips for a first timer?
