After 7 years of problem free service, we decided to replace the chassis battery prior to our next trip. Just a short video to document what is involved in this project.
Thanks for doing this video. It was exactly what I needed before delving into this project on my 2017 Pleasure-Way. The string trick was a big help. It's the little things that make a project go smoothly! I also got 7 years out of the OEM battery.
On my 2017 Sprinter 2500, the screws for the plastic step cover that holds the mat is a Eorx T25 and the screws for the metal cover are Tore T30. The floor mat and covers as well as the battery looks to be the same as in the video.
@@peteweilnau You are welcome. I bought a custom 2017 Sprinter 2500 4WD that came from the factory, built late 2017 and took delivery March 2018. The van battery just failed. That's great that you got 7 years out of your battery. I did not get even 5 years out of mine.
Automotive batteries have a group number that makes it easier to identify the appropriate size, terminal type, and terminal location. This particular battery is a group 49.
