Wow. Gorgeous. I went up the Icefield's Pkwy from Banff in early August up to about hwy 11. Quite the highway. I'll have to get up to the Icefields next time.

Wow, that's some amazing scenery! It indeed has a more Alpine feel, the glaciers are definitely the finishing touch that you don't have in Colorado. Though the Alps are much more densely populated than this. You can't cruise like this for an hour on two-lane roads in the Alps.
+European Roads Yeah one of the concerns is with so much development going on in Jasper and Banff lately. People want them to remain remote and wild, which I like too. It's about a 5 hour drive from here to the closest major city, Edmonton.
