I have been using vespa scooters all my life since my bachelor days..Very robust and trouble free machine..Only the clutch and gear cables will give way occasionally..I used to keep these cables as spares in my booth..with a spare tire can travel any where you want..I have rode from kuala Lumpur to penang with friends during our younger..some 300 kms..one way..no sweat..I am,currently using lml star vests from India for the past 15 years..a very very lasting machine than the Italian make..really worth the money...I love the machine more than gold...I am 70 yrs old...vespa lover from Malaysia...
the 150s were available in UK up until 2017 but the 125 was much more popular due to restrictions on licencing laws ie you can drive up to a 125 bike on UK roads with only compulsory basic training and without having passed a bike test
I had a dark red PX 200 in the eighties. Man that was good power (together with blue smoke in first gear lol) Pity they don't make that anymore but it 'ate' too much 10 inch rear tires! (each 5000/6000 kilometres). Undestructable engine!
The PX 200 motors are still available. Malossi and Pinasco are producing the motor again. But you have to put all the things together on your own. But with the videos here it should not be a problem to make a PX 200 again.
Wespenblech - Vespa Archiv fact. you can easily put one together on your own. or you can find some old stock .. Or just buy ( like I do), some old ones and restore it ;-)
Complimenti vivissimi!
Monalisa Paudel get a decent lml. cheaper and better. I drive both. have some good px models (older ones) and lml. lml is great. It's no copy it's just the px made in India. And lml has developed some better things on it !
Password:CRX really? my God. it's about time they charge it. we're 2017. Here all over in Europe any girl or man can drive it. As long you're 18 of course..
Nice 👍Here in London UK, the new emissions rules have finally killed of any possibility of using my 2001 PX200 that I’ve ridden every day since new... unless I agree to pay £12.50 ($15?) per day. Apparently the money means I can pollute and poison as much as I like...
I believe I read somewhere that the original engine was designed to be a 150. It was only supplied as 125 for some of the quirky licensing laws like ours in the UK. Absolutely love this video. Makes me want yet another one. Keep up the good work and long live the PX!
i ride a TX 200 1992 european Vespa. It is basically the 200 engine but has a rectangular headlight. I don´t know about the power difference between 150 cc and 200, mine is cruising happily at 80-90 kp all day long, not fast but a torquey little engine. The clutch feels like it has got tougher springs than the PX models and it is premix.
Hello I suggest to move the mirrors and fix on plates that will be fixed by 4 bolts under the handle bar. Unfortunaly, this new system passing through top plastic makes difficult to replace head light and there is also the risk to loose mirrors due to they unslack.
In Europe, recently you can choose between a PX 125 or a PX 150 depending on your license class and I believe 1997 was the first year for the disc brake models
Hola Amigo, como se llama ese Color? Hello Vespista Friend What is the name of that color? Does it have any code in Ultra System 7000 of Sherwin Williams?
So what you're saying is this bike isn't made in Mexico? So there's no licensing in Mexico for them to make Vespa scooters? So all scooters are shipped to Mexico from Italy
Hi, we can get P150X & P200X in Malaysia as i do have one, 1978 P150X. The difference is for P150X, it comes with square light and for P200X, it comes with round light and front disc breaks, others are pretty much the same.
im new with vespa scooters can you tell me wich is the better betwenn vespa lx/px /sprint /primavera and gts im want to buy a vespa i like the style of the px but dont know wich is the best
The PX125/150 was discontinued in 2007 in Europe. However Indian made licence PX's sold well alter that, called LML in Europe and Stella in the US so Piaggia brought back the PX in 2011. In Europe these models are regarded less desirable, they have a Chinese made ignition with a 7000rpm rev limiter and a Chinese disc brake and master cilinder. Fit and finish is generally also lower, they use LML produced engine cases. 2017 was the last production year since it could no longer meet the 2018 Euro 4 emission regulations and mandatory ABS.
I am using px150e.now a days in Bangladesh, the new piaggio vespa 4 stroke in supply liline of lndia made.anyone can buy it.but which is better two stroke px or four stroke, the experienced friend can advice.
1. PLEASE explain a few things to me bro. Is this a four speed? 2. is this fuel injected or carburetored? 3. is there such thing as two stroke fuel injected vespa? 4. is there such thing as four stroke carburettored vespa? 5. is there such thing as four stroke vespa with shifters? 6. is there such thing as two stroke automatic vespa without the manual shifters and good day ;-)
I believe around 2002 in the USA I seen a 250 Vespa in a odd color original grain with a Corinthian leather seat it was truly gorgeous but you could have bought a 1200 Harley Davidson Sportster for about $200 more I believe the Sportster was about $10,000 then so I would guess very few of these this was sold in this area. !!!!!
Did they fix the mirror mount issue in the bottom of the headset? That was definitely a weak link and woefully under-engineered leading to many a mirror problem. Also- did your customer have any issues bringing it across the border?
I have this exact bike but a 2017 in the UK. I've got a nice top case with backrest and a few more original Vespa bits like mudflaps as well. This bike is a beauty 😍😍
And we do have them in 125 or 150 cc. And the lml is a lot better. And it's the px made in India. I prefer India instead of the so called real px from Vietnam. And yes I may know, I driven them all...
Does this have the same catalytic system as the 2005 px 150 that was available in the states and Canada? I'm tempted to buy one, but I'm not sure how easy the system is to remove.
The engine set up was far better in the mid 2000’s. When they brought it back after discontinuing the poor little engines were strangled. Superb scooter all the same.
sorry, one big mistake in the comments. the 2015 isn't better but a lot worse as the 2005. made in Vietnam and yes you can discover that. they even had px's where they putted the oilrings in a wrong way ect...
