Learned that the silver part in the diverter is electrical today. Thank you Dave! I lubricated that piece along with my BNR hprv. This now makes sense as to why I'm having weird boost issues and it sticking open when cold... Did ATF as you said but was confused as to where to put it lol. Time to fix this😎

If you’re lubricating the HPRV you definitely have to do the part that passes through the silver housing.

So when you empty the can of oil and moisture do you need to add any fresh oil back to the engine to keep it topped off at the right levels?
@davesworld2132
@davesworld2132 3 месяца назад
You typically do not lose a lot of oil throughout the month but it’s always good to check the level every couple weeks.

Quick question Dave. How do you remove the fuel line fitting on the pcv line? Mines is heat corroded and I’ve been trying to remove it for weeks but no fuel line fitting fits. Even my mechanics can’t. I have a 2016.5 LS

@davesworld2132 7 месяцев назад
Hi. you need a fuel line disconnect tool and it has to be thin to slide in there. You may have to modify one to fit. If you can't figure out what to do message me through supercruzes.com

Hi My 2017 cruze recently had p0299 low boost code and obviously while driving it has no boost takes forever to pick up speed. I took apart my turbo and it all looks fine but the pcv on the back side of the valve cover is covered in oil that little catch can is full of oil/moisture can this cause a low boost issue ? Also the intercooler also has the same stuff thats in the catch can sludge type material i wouldnt say its clogged but definitely there
@davesworld2132
@davesworld2132 6 месяцев назад
If it’s only a p0299 codes it’s the wastegate. Here is a link to an aftermarket wastegate with a lifetime warranty that’s much stronger than OEM and it can be built for the OEM tune. supercruzesstore.com/products/2016-2019-cruze-wastegate-upgrade

But can the pcv symptoms that I have cause low boost ? I'd like to know bcuz I'm thinking about purchasing the catch can system you have designed. Also my wastegate does work fine when I put 12 psi air pressure through it can it still be bad some how ? I'd like to replace the right part instead of just throwing parts at it. I really appreciate your help and advice thank you

This winter I have had a few customers with P0299 performance issues have ice in the intercooler. My catch can caught the moisture before it froze on customers who have this kit. Customers who did not have ice in the intercoolers had this kit. After talking with my testers I confirmed this kit saved the intercooler PCV and pipes. @@neelamawan6524
