+Dave Lee I've been looking for a new laptop for a couple of weeks now and done a ton of research but I can't work out which would be best for me, I'm getting no where, could you help? I have up to around £1500 ($1944) to spend. I will be using my laptop for running Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and other animation software. Obviously I want the best for what my money can buy. I was considering a Asus ROG G752 VY or VT or a Dell XPS 15...... Would you recommend these or is there something better on the market? Thanks!

I have had some bugs with mine for the past month that I had to fix (laptop turning on after 3 secs after sleep/hybernation) Other that that the carbon fibre and black trackpad is a real grease and fingerprint nightmare But I don't regret my choice!

+fabrice19mu Yeah the trackpad/soft-touch while it feels amazing premium and is fantastic is an absolute oil and dust collector! However, it has quickly become my favorite laptop I've ever owned (coming from MacBook Pros and other fairly high-end laptops). Having had the XPS for a week now, I'm really hoping the bugs don't keep up and Dell gets on it! :)

I know this is an old comment but we cracked up with one of our guys using the Dell for a Skype for Business video meeting. The camera was looking up his nose and when he thought he was getting away with typing an email during our meeting, his fingers looked like some sort of monster octopus trying to attack the screen. I will take the HP approach (i.e. thin side to side bezels, camera at the top) any day after watching that mess. It was great comedy though...

You can get review samples early, tho many companies make you wait to publish your reviews, likely for fiscal reasons. I personally see no issue with it as it makes the reviewers all wait so that info isn't leaked on purpose...

lightweight gaming, why not? I do it all the time. Wanted that ultra portability for a cheap price, and hence why i got an ultrabook and not a rather expensive thin lightweight gaming laptop. Cant play things like Battlefield or some shit, but i can get through my favorite not so demanding games like dota and Rocket league.

I just love how so many people crap on Apple's newest 2016 Macbook Pros for only having USB Type-C ports and a headphone jack when HP was already doing this months back. AS USUAL the tech world wants everyone to believe that Apple is trying to screw everyone's lives over by moving on with the industry when the truth is they are not the first. But of course all the Apple haters will keep quiet out of convenience......shhhhh *don't mention the HP Spectre's limited ports and super slim design, we don't want anyone complaining about any other product but Apple's, because it makes us feel good to troll Apple*.
