Dazu sagt Google: „Der MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) ist das amerikanische Pendant für die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung im deutschsprachigen Raum, allerdings ohne Steuern und sonstige Gebühren, so dass der Endpreis für den Kunden von den jeweiligen Steuersätzen der einzelnen Staaten abhängt.“

@@tommywurzbacher7519 das meinte ich nicht. Ich meinte dass es selbst mit der mehrwertsteuer sehr oft noch günstiger dort ist und du eben den währungsunterschied noch einberechnen musst. Das hp spectre gibts dort gerade für 1100 dollar. Hier 1600€. Das sind einfach 400€ unterschied wenn ich ungefähr richtig rechne.

@@angheliiulian7162 It depends on how you use it. If you're really careful and save battery, the Zenbook 14 OLED (with ryzen 7 7730U) can go 10+ hours. Also if you don't try to save energy and use it on full tilt and full brightness, the battery can die in 2-3 hours. Here is one of the tests I did: BATTERY TEST # 3 - "Balanced" test Zenbook14 OLED with Ryzen5 7530U Jan.09, 2024 Start from 100%. Windows is on Best Power efficiency mode. Screen resolution is default (2880 x 1800), so when watching content the resolution is 1440p when available. Brightness in windows set to 80% then in My Asus app it is decreased to 60 % (OLED flicker free dimming)- Making the real brightness around 48%. (It causes the brightness to sometimes go back to 80 % without my input, it's easy to change it back(just bring back the screen from fullscreen to windowed and it goes back) screen refresh:60Hz, HDR is Off. Volume will be varied, will indicate in every session the percentage. AI noise cancelling Mic function is Off. Volume Booster(My Asus app) is ON, DTS enhancment is ON, Surround Virtualizer is ON, Volume Leveler is ON, and Equalizer is on Custom . Using a Bluetooth mouse (Logitech M720) when needed, also using keyboard backlight (on level 1-lowest)-when needed. I've noticed that as well - all the professors I work with have a MacBook and an iPad, not realizing that they could have some sort of 360 device and be able to do both at once.

@JosephJ360 that's fair, but I was more saying that a lot of people didn't know the option existed, since they're stuck in the Apple ecosystem

I think Jarrod focuses more on the gaming side of laptops, whereas Josh is more focused on productivity and college

I also said it could easily be an A 😎 the list is also somewhat skewed towards my own preference. I probably should have just put it in A, kind of felt like I was already very lenovo heavy at the top haha

How would you compare the apple environment to Windows? I use a bunch of cracked software for video editing, excel and music producing and I am indecisive between a Macbook air M2 or some windows based laptop, which one would you pick?

I also got a 3050ti model, g15 strix, for the same purposes but man i tried gaming on it, it really sucks how this cards vram throttles down the performance so much. You should have atleast got a 3060 now that u were spending money on it. Also u can use the type C if you aren't doing CPU GPU intensive power hungry tasks, not just gaming.

Yeah same. I flippin love mine and I bought it hoping it would be the laptop that lasts me 7 or more years (like I did with my 2011 MBP). I believe it will.

I’ve been using one for over a year now and I haven’t loved using a laptop this much since I was a kid. It’s just been productivity bliss compared to the Intel based laptops I’ve used in the past. I’m probably never going to use an x86-based laptop ever again after how great my Apple Silicon experience has been and continues to be.

@@f1n3ss3r4 I ended up getting the legion slim 7. I also considered buying the legion slim 5 14" but after after seeing this and a few other videos I decided to buy the legion slim 7 AMD version.

Maybe, right now we are completely overwhelmed with consumer focused devices. We did get an Elitebook in last year and liked it. Never got around to reviewing it though

What I hate about the Framework is the design, if only they design it to look like Asus g14 from 2022 or 2023, or the newer design 2024 similar to the razer blade, then I would have absolutely support it. Right now, It is some of the hideous looking laptop I have seen.

Yayaloy9 Actually, I think the design of the Framework 13 looks a lot like the previous-generation Macbook Air. It tapers front to back. The keyboard has separated black keys inset into a silver aluminum frame, which I like better than current Macbooks. The screen bezel is a bit large, but you can select different colors if you want. The back of the screen even has the Framework logo where the Apple logo would be. Sure, it is not as light or slim as even the last-gen. Macbook Air. But it does not look bad at all. And the upgradeability beats every other laptop out there.

I actually think you should future-proof your MBP 14" with the M3 Pro (not the M3, obviously). The reality is that Moore's law is dead and we're going to be stuck on 3nm for a while, so you might want to get 36GB RAM with 11-core M3 Pro for $2400. You aren't going to get better laptops than this, really. But that's only if you're already employed and can get your money back after a month of work. Otherwise, get a Ryzen 7 7840HS laptop (not 7840U) for $1000 that can be upgraded to 32GB RAM or more later down the line and supports DDR5-5600, because it's very fast. Also, I hate Apple and you should too, I don't see the point in ever getting any MacBook (even the 3-year old M1s) if you aren't going to be explicitly compiling large projects that take more than 15 minutes to build, so as to save money for yourself and your company and get a raise.
