2016 Outback 3.6R with 2017 WRX mufflers - test fit 

The mufflers from a 2017 WRX bolted on directly to my 2016 Outback 3.6R. However, since my OEM muffler tips are downturned and the WRX tips are straight, the WRX mufflers hit the bottom of the bumper cover. This prevents them from going up far enough to reach the hangers, they need to up about another 1.5 inches. Next step will be to get a muffler shop to turn down the tips about 30 degrees and see if some additional trimming is needed for the bumper covers. Sound is very subtle, nice little rumble at lower rpms, and zero drone.
