I have mentioned this too this company before but next year in December 2022 so many Toyota which includes Lexus vehicles are going to be so angry because they have 3G technology which is being turned off so next to nothing in the infotainment system will work. This is badly needed for I'm guessing millions of cars in the United States alone. I sure wish they would make one for my 2016 Lexus GS 350 with the mark Levinson radio. I have been wanting this for a couple years now and would love to have it. 2017 Plus I mean I think Lexus had this available in 2018 from the dealer so you're really only covering one year. Anyway I hope the company can make it work for my car and many others prior to 2017.
If i install this unit, will it keep the oem reverse camera if i park etc or i have to buy a completely new one that will fit with it. Also, will it give information about the hybrid battery, IS 300h. Cheers

Got it installed and everything worked fine first day. Now second day it won’t auto connect. I have forgot the CarPlay device and connected and it’s still not working. Any ideas ?

Wireless feature available yet? Option to connect Apple iPhones over Bluetooth fully. No USB and Apple lightning-wiring cables were used. Does this feature available yet?

@@BeatSonicUS Just got mine one of the new ones with wireless, nothing in the instructions talks about how to setup wireless functions nor what to do with the included antenna.
@@M3rl1n87 from customer service when I contacted them “To get the wireless working, go to settings-general-carplay and then wait for NV17W to show up on the bottom. Select, pair and allow contacts.” I mounted the antenna under my glove box with double sided tape and the connection has been good for me
There’s not enough room behind the screen. The boxes needs to be mounted behind the glove box. The errors you see on the cluster shows to check that the error lights are working when you are on IG mode and engine not turned on. They will disappear when you turn on the engine.
@@BeatSonicUS At 20:55 you show all the space behind the glove box to mount the boxes but I don't see how you mounted them or how they looked after you mounted them. How do you secure the two boxes to the car? Thanks!
@@jeffreymartin3605 When I did a similar installation I would put foam tape either around the box or on the metal wherever I ended up putting the box. If I had a flat area I would use velcro tape or 3M clear extreme tape.
So much work for just an apple CarPlay. Really need a professional to install. IMO I’ll just live without it (use the USB function for songs) or just get the newer IS.

Does this unit work without factory nav? I do not have the joystick. I have regular turn dial for head unit controls. 2020 Lexus IS 300 F sport - no factory nav.
Kinda a specific request but what is the model number of the lvds cable used in this video? I'm going back and forth with an ebay seller right now and they're saying the cables they sent are correct. So far they have sent LVDS-GPLEX1801-RXM-FP2 and LVDS-CPLEX1801-RXM-FP2 but neither will even physically fit the connector to the screen.
