The plexiglass cover, should I run my ZL1 without the lid like rotofab or not? It seems with the cover on, its like running stock one all over again? Will the performance be different without the lid or not? Peace

sad boyz club no for some intakes you can just put one on and you automatically make more HP just from better airflow. I'm pretty sure that's what happened with Streetspeed717s truck

Are the people that come to you for a simple air filter install really that inept that they can't do it themselves? Like wow do they even know how to change their own oil. Aside from that I think you have good content. I'm just surprised by how many people buying mid high end cars cant even turn a wrench on them. I guess not everyone knows their way around a motor.

I think I'm going to go with this intake eventually. It looks just like the GM one except the blue filter and the GM performance badge. GM would have to be some true dicks to say I broke warranty when it's the same exact unit.

He referred to a "spacer", if that was it. Still interested in why they called it a noise dampener, and why CAI think it is needed, vs. all the other kits he has installed.

sailor Mac it's not needed really it's suggested it reduces the whistle noise it makes since its sucking in so much air and it does not add power its just a noise dampner
