U0186 Lost Communication with speaker amplifier module diag and repair If you have this issue you could fix it for free as there is a recall on this amplifier and leak by GM. contact your local dealer.
Great video!! I have the same issue with a 16 Malibu. Not a salvaged car I am working on but hopefully the issues are similar. I never would have thought to use the scope to test for signal on a amplifier. When you are testing signal with that one red lead do you have the other lead grounded? I have the same scanner and scope as you and when I hook it to channel one I have 2 leads coming out and I noticed in your video you are only using one lead. If it’s not to long and confusing of a explanation I would like to hear it. Our shop just bought the maxisys ultra and it has the scope that I am trying to use it more in the diag process. Do you have any videos explaining on how to use the scope and how to hook it up to time set the scale correctly. Thank you

How did you find out Chevy was fixing this problem for free? I am currently experiencing this issue and i have been unsuccessful in finding any resolution from chevy.
Hi, nice video!! I have a 2017 Camaro SS with the same problem, no sound. I changed the amplifier and now I only have sound on the drivers door!! What do you think the problem may be??
Hey please did you find out!?same issue with a 16 ss. New amp and driver door works. The rest have power and are tested just not sound aswell as signals
@@raulamani5519 ok so call your a couple of dealerships and provide them your vin. ask for the part number. If you buy a used one that matches your part your fine It should work with no program. If you buy a brand new one you’ll notice only one speaker would work that’s because It needs to be programmed to the BCM
Yeah man, I ordered a new one after installing it. Your right only my driver side speaker works. Did you reprogram it your self or took it to the dealer?
Same issue on my 2017 Chevy Malibu LT except I have audio but the radio display turns black and can’t change stations or anything. I tried changing out the radio display but it still does the same thing. Any suggestions?

I have the same issue. I changed the display fuse so I can finally see the display but still no audio from the radio & blinkers. Should I try the radio fuse as well? What happened was my tensioner broke and I drove it home bc I couldn’t afford a tow. The battery was drained and I’m guessing it blew a few fuses. Any suggestions?
When you say reprogram what do you mean I have a 2017 and I change the amp I'm only receiving one speaker. I tried searching the internet I can't find how to program it. Thanks again.@@DallasAutoDiag
I have a 2017 Malibu LT that is having this issue, but it happened after my car just bricked in the middle of the road. Lost everything, power, lights, even the hazards weren't turning on and I was trapped inside cause of power locks. All the sudden it turned back on, but then I was having the issues above. Just happened last night, Im scared to drive now.
My radio worked after I followed another videos diagnostics. Pulling out fuse 42 and 39 but there’s steps on how to do it and my radio works like brand new
My car has turned off while driving 3 times and each time it turns right back on except with no audio, typically starts working again. The last time it turned off on me it didn’t turn back on & was completely dead until I got a jump. Any suggestions from you? Thank you
Change out the fuse for your display and possibly the radio fuse as well. F39 & F42. The fuse box is located underneath where your lights are on the left hand side of the steering wheel
