2017 CX-5 with around 76k miles. Slips on the 1-2 shift, flares 3-4 until it gets hot, then slips through third. Chirps the tires when trying to engage first. This one will be apart in the next few days.
it was abused way too hard, my friend's 2017 CX5 has been pretty abused its entire life since 2017 till today with over 150k km. and its perfectly fine. his reckless driving is balanced with his maintenance intervals every 10k km.
So sad to see it in a "new" japanese car. I had several japanese cars with automatic trans, all good, no problems, zero problems It's a clear case of abuse
The computer measures it based off of engine hours, miles and how the vehicle is driven. It will call for service sooner if it has lots of engine hours or if it’s driven hard, it’s actually pretty accurate.
Regardless of the service history, the problem itself being the transmission requires no maintenance or replacement of fluid at a set distance. Shame to see a skyactiv-drive fail prematurely.
