In my experience you can add reliability to that as well. Treat a Porsche nicely and it'll not break down easy.

I think the turbo engines fix the lack of torque under 4000RPM in the old 3.8 engine. This is coming from a 991.1 owner.

Also gas mileage and emissions. That's where the real pressure is coming from.

In my country AMG GT-S is 3 times expensive than Carrera S (due to tax difference)

While it does cost almost as much as the AMG, it's an overall incredible driver's car that also happens to be more versatile, and will almost out-last you.

German automakers have always been known to underrate their forced induction motors.

On porsches website it says it will do 0-100km/h in 3,9 sec thats 0-62mp/h and thats with the optional sport chrono pack! how did he manage a 3,1 to 60?? im not sure whats at play here.

porsche is always conservative and motortrend tests cars differently. That's why motortrend always gets way better numbers than everyone else.

well it was one of the last good NFS games I would rather they followed the same idea that game had but add in more brands and they could just like pick the best cars of each era etc.... Also keeping the Semi Sim feel of that game is a must don't go full arcade racer like NFS has been for the last 10 years.......

Are you kidding? It's slower than the 911 which is vastly more livable on the street and cheaper as well (which is not something you can often say about a Porsche). Even the $44k Camaro with a proper manual, and way more luxury amenities was nipping at the heels of the GTS. Kind of surprised it did as well as 9th.

BMW has a huge internal conflict between M and i departments. i got a lot of money and used it for things like research on carbon production techs. In the meantime some new sorts of steel got developed which to the same for production cars while costing much less. BMW now sits on carbon plants and builds carbon into the 7series because the plants are useless. Did I say that nobody buys the i3 and i8? The biggest part of i3 production goes to BMW own carsharing program. Meanwhile the starved M department just releases the same stuff again and again. No money to build sportcars with the newest tech, so they produce faster versions of the normal cars like AMG once did. M cars sell great, so why change anything there? BMW did not even manage to build the i8M they wanted to gift themselves for their 100th birthday. AMG meanwhile probably gift themselves a hypercar for their 50th birthday. Any questions left?

The Turbo S has a other price tag and is in the group of super sports cars. The Carrera is the entry level in the 911 model class.

Nah... Porsche 918 is the best they can offer, and it does a 1:29.89 at Laguna Seca. The Viper ACR did a 1:28.65, more than a second faster. Before you go off on the tires, the Porsche has a 230hp advantage, and still didn't beat it. And lets not talk about the price... the Viper ACR isn't 1/3 of it.

Based on what I saw no it looked like a more exciting drive than the M4 and should be more livable on a day to day bases. The NSX would probably be the runner up though.

I'd say the NSX for (bad) steering feel and the M4 GTS for (lack of) controlability.
