I had a 2016 Toyota Corolla LE it was an amazing vehicle however, my new commute to work involved a high possibility of having slightly more commute time I really noticed I wanted the adaptive cruise control. I also did love the styling of the 2017 refresh on the SE model. Did end up getting a 2017 corolla SE in the slate metallic and it’s been an absolute amazing vehicle. I like the sharper styling, I love the daytime running lights, I love that that LED headlights have a little accent strip above the headlight. The little things add up to me, the Softexe leather trim seats are nice addition. My 2016’s touchscreen also started to have problems. I like that the touchscreen was updated to a capacitive touchscreen. Overall amazing vehicle.

I just got a 17 corolla and absolutely love it. Had a 16 Sentra before this and would never go back. I love the lane keep assist and the front end collision detection

Michael Buendia I noticed there's a lot of 2017 corolla haters here. They prefer 16 over 17. I have a 17 XSE. Like you, I like the TSS-P. Those 17 haters, they just wish they have TSS-P😜

currently I have a 2009 Toyota corolla XRS, comparing it to the 2017 corolla....there is a lot of room in the 2017 corolla, lots of leg room if you are tall person like myself, 6' 3'' and 200 pounds...new corolla is awesome....

I bought the '17 from Burien Toyota. Seemed like it was a pre production model, loaner w/ 6K n the clock. I paid $17K out the door. Mine came with the 1.8 w/ CVT. Totally gutless but decent mileage. Tinted, floor mats, trunk mat, trunk mesh storage.

Superb video. You are so well spoken. I watched it, because today I bought a slightly used 16 one. I'm very happy with it. It seems like so much car for the money. But really, my first priority is fuel economy without going into a full hybrid. The extra safety features on the 17 are neat, but I'm old school at age 60, and am not sure they suit me. Plus, where I live, red lights and stop signs have no meaning. So except for side airbags, the newest safety innovations are of no help. But I must add, if others were to drive my car, I would want them to drive a car that had the latest and greatest safety things.
@jasonkolinsky5884
@jasonkolinsky5884 5 лет назад
Mine too was fuel economy! Honda Civic was to tempting to drive hard so got me poor gas mileage! Also had transmission problems. Toyota Corollas are known not to have the problem is that Honda's do in the transmission and plus Toyotas have been doing CVT transmissions for the longest time so they practically I have solved all the problems with them

It would have been nice if the driving modes could have the 3 (eco, normal, and sport) on all trims that offer it like what the competition does (Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra for example). Also in the back seat instead of the 3rd cup holder that come from the front center for the rear passengers that should have been a vent because I will rarely if ever need 3 beverage holders, but heat in the cold winter and A/C in the hot summer would have been nice (mainly speaking of the higher models), along with remote start. On the positive side Toyota Safety sence standard is a nice bargain touch that could win over some customers. I like having a CD player that has become too old fashioned for some of the more tech rich compacts, and it is nice having the peace of mind that Entune is an ecception being that it has a decent rating unlike most competitors that have a nice long horrible rating mainly with comments about how much it sucks and is a waste of time, but again not in Toyota's Entune's case. Let's go places for another 50 years Carolla!

Nothing yells classy & cool like a cheap, generic, rust-stained looking muffler poking out from all the rear viewing angles of the car (for both older 2016 & the 2017 refresh Corolla sedan). Shame that Toyota didn't design the Corolla sedan as well as they did the Corolla iM (Auris). Even the Yaris does a pretty good job of concealing its muffler.

2016 is by far the better looking one. The Toyota sense function is nothing I would ever use. The rear tail lights are more efficient, they have amber turn signal lamps. There have been countless times where the red turn signals that coincide with the red brake lights on car are difficult to see. I'm actually considering trading in my 2006 Kia for a 2015/16 S type Corolla.

Just took a brand new 2017 SE out on a test drive, car only had 27km on it, hit an average sized pothole on the driver side front sounded like I kicked over a bookcase full of encyclopedia's onto a marble floor, engine sounds like a pop can full of nails which is likely due to the light weight 0w 20 oil this engine calls for. Car also comes with a retro 1990's style stand alone rectangular digital clock dead center in the middle of the dash.
