great video! for a 240i owner, this is gold! yes, if i had the money i'd prefer an m2, but for a daily that i could afford...this thing is a weapon that can play with the big boys. :)
you probably dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can stream all of the new series on Instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend lately =)
Easy to say, might be a lap for the experience. When you are driving a 50k Eur car and potentially can damage both the track and your car, you think differently.
Yes I know this is a different to what I'd normally post. BTG 8.42 (yellow flag and heavy traffic). Skip to 5:30 to see me with the M2! He is a friend so was a good laugh
The guy in the M2 was probably terrified that he would lose the back end... like i almost did on mine when i was on the test drive... lesson 1.... dont plant the throttle... even on the straight if the road is slightly moist.
@REAL TORQUE going from a 435d x drive... i really caught me out. To be brutally honest... he is brave taking it round there. At least i get mine just before it snows next week.
Maybe not. The track is huge, and you need a lot of passes to learn all the corners to perfection. And how do you learn it? You drive it as much as you can. Pro drivers know the whole track in a beat, when they have done over 300-400 laps on it. So give the guy a break, he is still learning it. Many people probably laughed at you when you first started driving a car, not to mention your first track day, right?
@@stef123992 + might be a simple lap for the experience. Crashing a 50k Eur car + damaging the track can bring you to a serious €€€ shit experience. I did a cool lap with my M140i and was enough for me, doesn't mean you cannot drive, you just want to have fun and limit the risks. There is at least 2/3 crash car per day there, going back home without your car + few thousands to pay the track, doesn't worth it IMO. Too many people are driving behond their skill level and the capacity of the car. I salute the M2 driver.
Only had my M140 9 months but want a M2 😂 seems like power wise there about the same but brakes and handling the m2 trumps the m140. Would you buy a m2?
@@jonathanhenty6614 Buy the new Competition its a nice car and engine....with more power than the old N55.....the B58 on the M140i/240i its realy a beast xD.
Like a lot of these videos it has nothing to do with the car, The M140i driver would have passed the other drives in the same way if they had swapped cars.
Simoney cheers buddy, in a way yes as it’s a memory and a great experience. But... the type will be at the ring in April and I’m super buzzing. Will be so much more fun on track
@@realtorque I forget how quick these are stock. I've not taken mine on a track, however in a straight line mine is quicker than an M4. Jb4 and downpipes, running around 460bhp and just over 500lbft. It's just ridiculously fast.
