Yes sir, it’s quite hard to find anything on that... but I have a guy! He’s local to me and makes them by hand out of carbon. n63intake.com/products/m550i-g30-carbon-fiber-intake?keyword=m550 - I’m considering getting a set from him as well! He has a few handles online: “ECM Tuner” , his Instagram is @ badblack550xi or something like that , and then the website is n63intakes.com - shoot him a message and tell him I sent you! I actually have a video on this page of him racing a friend in a Redeye last year.

if you tune it the smell is not so bad

Some people genuinely on the forums said there was some sort of drain before the cat 😂 don’t know, I didn’t hang onto it long enough to find out… only appeared when it was driven rough lol

Honestly the only time I get even a slight amount of smell is after i've been hammering on it for an extended period of time... and I mean like... HAMMERING. Then, at a light, if my windows are down completely, yeah i'll get a little whiff but in comparison to my Hellcat -- (that smelt like burnt eggs) this just has a sweet churned fuel smell even when you do get a slight whiff. I'd give it a 3/10 on the smell chart. Go for it. The 19+ will make 700 HP with downpipes and a tune. Full send.

I been thinking about this for a long time now many of my friends were telling me to get a downpipe on my 2019 bmw m550i they said it’ll increase preformance and hp but some smell at times. Also the check engine light

Hey man! So I had zero experience with that but I know precisely what you’re talking about! I had that issue with my SRT4 and Hellcat!.. my best guess is crappy American seals for the interior in general. My m550 was scent free when I was driving, even with the windows up.. the only time I really smelled it badly was when it was a hot summer day and I was going triple the suggested speed limit and then came to a stop at a light or something I would get a brisk lawn mower whiff.. but nothing horrible! I highly recommend doing it! Let me know how it goes.. 🙏💪

@@teamspeeddemon Thanks for reply, I have 2020 so will do catless and thinking of installing used exhaust from M5 , will do sw update so hopefully get close to 700HP :)

You can get over 730HP easily if you have 530hp stock with only an downpipe easily 700hp​@@premgl4624

No mounting brackets required. Just a straight replacement from OEM and extremely light in comparison. Probably a 10th of the original downpipe weight.

stage 1? not really close, stage 2? probably, stage 2 was rated for around 600-640 depending on fueling etc, you may be able to keep up? i don't know about beating it though. downpipes are a must.

I ended up just going with the catless downpipes & sticking with the oem catback system! If I had kept the car a little longer I probably would’ve done the Dinan resonator delete but I sold it for an upgrade fairly quickly.

@@Justinchanthasena11 nothing bad about the tune, the tune is actually why I kept it a little longer, it was just lacking all the aspects of an m5, what I was actually looking for, I thought I could live without it but I was wrong 😂

@@TheMansGame Not at all -- for this BMW specifically (not sure about other models) -- there is absolutely no chime or dinging or error reading on the dash or on the head unit. I come from a long line of Volkswagens and Audis and my good lord if you had a check engine light on the car would ring and ding and flash at you to let you know in 6 different languages every single time you fired up that engine that -- there was a check engine light on... for this though, it's just a small, dim reminder that "hey, you have catless downpipes in... tune me" -- LMAO. It'll be going away real soon though... ;)

Haha, great question.. not sure.. but I do know DME advised me “the m550xi motor is not as strong as the M5 motor..” so take that as you will but I only played with it in it’s modified state for a few months before selling.

going to be completely honest if i had to gauge it with a % i would say maybe 9-10% faster lol.. if that? just feels like it cruises along a lot easier without the restriction.. just a lot less effort to get up to speed (when not flooring it) .. looking to get to 55 mph on and on-ramp.. just felt like less effort, less push through the rpms but that could just be the placebo effect... regardless.. lol, it's been tuned and a video is coming..!

@@teamspeeddemon I saw the video! Tried to comment on that video but it doesn’t work for some reason. But nevertheless it Sounds amazing! Love what you did to your ride! Did everything the right way, and not buying cheap mods. I would recommend you to get the ECS oil catch can. It will keep your ride running smooth and also gives you a better gas mileage. It’s probably one of the best mod you could do to your BMW right now.
