Nice to see another CBR650F rider! I have a 2018 with the same windscreen and seat cowl, makes the bike look more aggressive. As for the exhaust I customized the OEM by cutting off the small tip and opened it up to fit a 3" outlet. I managed to fit the original cover and it sounds amazing!!! I've also made my riding position more aggressive by switching out the rear sets and flipping the original clip ons. For the rear sets I used 2019 CBR650R which are a bit more sportier and they fit perfectly with no modifications. As for flipping the clip ons it takes more skill and involves custom work to the controls, but the end result is a more aggressive lower riding position. I will post a quick video soon. Keep on riding!
They are awesome bikes aren't they!! Never thought of doing that to the exhaust, pretty inventive! I do love the windscreen and seat cowl, changes the whole look of the bike. Also, thanks for the comment!!
Really fun bike, got one as my second as well. I love how once you get past like 6k RPM the power just builds and builds and builds and builds all the way till red line, so smoothly. It's not like its weak or lacking in torque at lower RPM either, it just really takes off about halfway up.
You ain't kidding!! 6k and up and she really wakes up!! But like you said, it's smooth from zero to red line! Sorry for the late reply, RU-vid notifications kind of suck! Thanks for stopping by the channel man!!
I have a 2014 with 13k miles. I bought it used with almost 10k and it has been an awesome bike. Its got great power and is reliable. Only thing I had to do was adjust my clutch cable since it was tight and causing the bike to slip.
Just bought a 2014 CBR650F for $3700 with 2300 original miles. Matte Black all stock. Love this bike. Great power! Ive had a White with black and blue striped 2016 Cbr500r for the past 3 years and absolutely loved that bike too. Got lots of compliments everywhere. I was just ready for more power and didnt like the way to bars set too low on the Cbr600rr. So this 650f is a perfect transition for me. Mods I've done so far are tail tidy kit and led tail light with integrated turn signals, led headlight. Also, had to switch the flasher relay for an led one to eliminate the hyper flash. Mods on order...gold grips and levers, black windscreen from Thailand Lol, gold sliders and engine guard and gold windshield bolts. Cant wait for them too arrive. Next I plan on painting some of the silver parts to matte black and change the exhaust to full racing Akroponic. Love this bike so far. Keeping the 500r for a little bit right now. Sentimental reasons and its paid off....Lol. Enjoy Brothas!
I have a 2018 CB650F. It is very similar to yours, minus the fairing and clip-ons. I've put about 5k miles on mine and so far I've been very happy. I had my right side bar-end weight fall out during a ride (didn't notice it until I got home). Even the new replacement had a bit of play. I also like the inline-four. It was a driving factor to me choosing this bike over others in its class. Like you, I think the exhaust could be a bit louder but it doesn't bother me enough to make me run out and get a replacement. My one complaint which is more of an annoyance is that the display wasn't updated to match the smaller CB500F. I don't necessarily need a gear indicator but having one would be nice.
I'm definitely sticking the Honda CBR650F on my next bike shortlist, they're lovely in all colours as well & didn't even know they were 4 cylinders! 😎 I had planned on an older Honda VFR800F, but thinking something a bit newer more recently! 👍
They are really good bikes. You will really like it. Mine ( the 2018 ) is the last year for the F model. 2019 and newer is the R model. Updated style with two headlights. Both look great to me. Plus, if you're going to get a Japanese 650, you might as well get the most powerful one in the class. Mine has 90HP, and the newer one has 94HP.
You're going to adore that bike man!! It can basically do anything you want it to do!! Plus it's smooth, and you can ride it comfortably for quite a long time!! Thanks for the comment man!! And Big thank you for the sub!! Most appreciated!!
I just bought a 2018 with 1,016 miles on it. The very first thing I did was change out that whale tail. Gone. New windscreen, levers (brake & clutch) and exhaust are coming soon. I'm still getting used to the clutch friction zone, seems really long to me. Hoping the new clutch lever will change that. Thanks for sharing this video, well done.
Thanks man!! Appreciate that! It's definitely a great bike! Finding a decent looking windscreen for it wasn't easy. Best one I could find. Thanks for stopping by the channel as well!
Great vlog and bike buddy 👍 I find putting links to vlogs on the screen at the end helps known as end cards in RU-vid studio. push other vlogs also make full advantage of the tag box when you upload. Put keywords in there like bike brand area your riding etc. Hope this helps 👍
They are really good bikes. I want to move up to a CBR1000RR, but to do that I might have to trade this one in. But I also really want to keep her too.
@@KODEGREY I'm in the same boat! Don't wanna give it up but it would definitely help towards a CBR1000RR-R SP. If they bring the non SP version to the states it would be nice!
G'day mate as general rule Honda's don't go wrong I've had them since I was 7 years old I'm 48 now never had an issue with Honda's nice bike the 650F enjoy stay safe 👍
I bought this very same bike this past February. Bike only had 1400 miles on it. Everything was going just fine until I spotted a leak and had to have my water pump replaced. What?!!! With only 1400 miles, I wasn’t expecting this at all. Needless to say, wasn’t happy about this. Will this happen again in another 1400 miles? I don’t know. Where did you get the seat cowl, and were the decals already on it or did you purchase those separately?
I picked up a 2018 CBR650F a few weeks ago, matt black. Only taken it on two 40 minute spins so far, both times I've returned home with my right hand index and middle fingers white. I have heard since buying mine that these bikes are known for vibes, although saying that it doesn't feel especially vibey when riding, but my fingers are telling me otherwise! I have heated grips fitted too, so it wouldn't be the cold affecting my fingers. I have heard that heavier bar ends make a difference. I hope so, otherwise this bike is being sold!
Ok Kerry, I'm going to give you a couple of tips for this because the same thing happened to me when I first bought my 650F. It's not the vibes, it's the way you sit on the bike. ( I'm almost positive anyway ). Because of the way you are only partially leaned forward, and the way your legs will tend to slide up on the tank, you will unconsciously grip the throttle much harder than you need to. ( I definitely did this! ). Two things helped with this. I bought tank pads to keep from sliding forward, and I had to make a conscious effort to train myself not to grip too hard on the throttle for a few weeks. After that, the numb hand was gone!! I hope this helps!! And thanks for the comment!!
@@KODEGREY Hmm, very interesting!! On my second ride out, after how my fingers were on the first ride I paid a lot more attention to how I was gripping the throttle, making sure not to grip too hard, and if anything my fingers were worse when I get home! Right, next time I go out I will pay attention to see if I'm sliding forward at all! Many thanks for taking the time to reply to me, very much appreciated. I'll keep you updated!
Many thanks for this, it made me buy one, identical to yours, love the red and black colours. Came from a cbr500r 2020, great bike but the performance of the 650 is another league😁👍👍👍
Hi. I have one too. The negative points for me, is dash. I like to have range meter. Also had a problem to listen to music on the intercom, the wind is directed to the helmet and can't hear anything. Best regards!
The dash is a bit outdated. After I put the new windscreen on the buffeting got better, it was still there, but it was a little bit better. Thanks for the sub!!!! I appreciate it!
I'm glad I found this video. I've been on the fence about getting that windscreen. I'm definitely going to grab one soon (if they're still in stock in two weeks) because I cannot stand the stock windscreen. It doesn't fit the look of the bike.
I absolutely agree!! The stock windscreen does that bike no favors at all. Get the new one for sure. Not only does it look much better, it deflects the wind over your helmet a bit better. Thanks for the comment!!
@@KODEGREY it's amazing with the stock windscreen I was getting hit right below the pecs. It is moved the Windstream up to my shoulders which is much easier to deal with since I can just tuck. It hasn't fully alleviated my helmet noise since I have noisy as hell LS2, but it is also cut that down a bit. Next thing I have to do now is get a quieter helmet lol.
It is a pretty powerful bike for a 650. But the power curve is very smooth. As long as you are easy on the throttle while you are learning, then yes, I think a new rider would be ok to learn on this bike. Thank you for the comment!!
id say it is. i got mine 2.5 years ago, a '14 model. never sat on a motorcycle in my life, signed the papers at the dealer and rode it 25miles home after 30 mins in the parking lot with just a permit. its a solid bike.
The only place I could find one was on eBay. It comes from Thailand, but usually has some in stock. Just search for 2018 Honda CBR 650F and you should be able to see it near the top of the list. Thanks for the sub!! Much appreciated!!
You can adjust the brightness with 2 botton on dash SET and SEL not crazy bright look nice to me I have naked version cb650f if you remove cat and put full exhaust bike get very light the catalytic its freaking heavy.......
Oh ok. Should have looked a bit deeper in the manual. LoL. I have thought about a full exhaust, I know those things are very heavy. Thanks for the comment!
Oh man! That is a hard choice!! It will probably be whatever your budget allows. But, if you do decide to go with the 650F or the new 650R, you will love it! They are a lot faster than people think they are. And it hard to beat the reliability! Thanks for the comment man!! And a HUGE thanks for the sub!! It is most appreciated!!
@@KODEGREY anytime man, loving your content so I will be looking forward to more. And yeah I love the newer bikes but at the same time I love the older Honda's so it's really tough. I definitely want comfort though for some long distance rides around Europe. And a trip I'm planning around the coast of the UK
@@thatwolffe3802 I've never rode the F4 or F4i. So I can't tell you which one I prefer for comfort. I can tell you I was able to go almost 3 hours before I had to stop and stretch a bit on the 650. My butt never hurt, I just got stiff and also had to give my hands a break.
Basically yes. This one was made one year before they changed to the new model, and gave it an R instead of an F. Only real difference is the fairings. Oh.. and it has 2 headlights instead of one.
Awesome! Mine wasn't quite that cheap since I bought it new in 2018. I haven't found an exhaust I like either. I really like the underslung exhaust, so it's hard to find a nice one.
Cool, that windshield gives the bike a whole new look!! As for the decal, well my wife has a Cricut decal cutting machine. So I downloaded a CBR 650F PNG and she printed out the decal. I put it on myself.
This would be an excellent choice for your next upgrade!! I dont think you would be longing for power anytime soon. This bike has the highest HP in the 650 class. Around 94 HP where the other average around 75 HP.
BTW that small play is supposed to be in there on the throttle....easy to upgrade the headlight, carbon fiber slip on and pipes are now available......PUIG windscreen@@KODEGREY
