Modded 2018 Mustang gt vs Scat Pack 1320 Challenger and stock 2019 mustang gt vs Scat Pack 1320 Dodge Challenger, drag racing ,top speed and acceleration
@@WheelsRU-vid A big thanks to "Wheels"! You do great videos. You got my 1320 on at last in this video's first race! My 1320 was driven by Jared Allan of Mopar Insiders. The last race (not shown) was a 11.569 at 117.5 mph. The following races on this video were also driven by Jared Allan earlier in the summer with his 1320. Both cars are stock. My 1320 has Race Star 17" wheels and Mickey Thompson's with skinnys in the front and a Cox Racing lightweight battery.
No that top speed was awesome on the mustang the challengers quickness wasn’t enough for that stretch but that launch was cool this was an awesome race between acceleration and top speed in my opinion
@@musclescars4793 Oh so the 1320 didn't held its own 60 foot? You saw what happened to that black 5.0 when he raced the scat. the black 5.0 was stock not the green one
The first mustang GT did 10.5! That’s like past hellcat territory! Great job ford! 👏🏼 Edit: Jk I meant great job to the people who bought the ford that was originally on a diet from gabblebees. I wouldn’t buy a mustang or camaro Mopar Or No Car!
Samson Reynolds how would I know. It’s definitely not stock but the 1320 scat pack was stock lol. If the mustang was stock it probably would go to gapplebees 😬
KamikazeSOF2 the 1320 1/4 mile is 11.7 in perfect da like the mustang is 11.9 in perfect weather. A 1320 with demon front wheels and lightweight battery went 11.4.
I'm not loyal to a brand but you won't see me driving a Mustang, I got a Challenger and I'd definitely take a Corvette or a CTS-V but I just can't stand Mustangs and most of their obnoxious owners.
@@MustangNthusiest It is tempting, but I don't want my extended warranty voided. I made that mistake 15 years ago and an engine replacement cost $13,200.00. If I ever win the lottery?😐
The Nexens make a mess. But as you see in my 1320's first race, my Mickey Thompson's did not leave a speck of rubber anywhere on the car after 4 runs that day.
@@Spunky-iq8jm like i said Mickey Thompsons .... Nexens are junk and my car with a stock tune runs 11.50's with a 1.64 60 ft and if i can get it to the track one more time im 100 percent sure i will lay down an 11.40 😁
I've got a 2020 Mustang GT. However, with all the electronics that the newer cars have, I'll doubt that you will be seeing many at any classic car shows 40 years from now.
Cez Mane not the new ones your dodge is too big I seen em the mustangs trap higher speeds and it depends on the driver for the time but higher trap speed tells the story and mustangs launch better with the new revised mt 82 trans
Doubt. Youre driving a boat with a .24 P/W. Maybe a 2011-2014 Mustang GT. My 2017 Camaro SS spanks Scat Packs in digs or rolls. And a 18+ GT with the 10 spd auto can car gap me.
Hit my manual 19 5.0 is full bolt ons and I’ve kept up with hellcats and I’ve gapped scatpacks by about 4 car lengths regularly. The hellcats I ran with were stock and my car makes 530 at the wheels and I run full e85
You probably couldn't afford what made that teenager car that quick. You should just get a Civic hatch that actually has potential. Everyone who's serious about racing knows that a Stang can't hold a candle to even a lightly tuned Civic hatch. Or any Civic for that matter. It's like a fat guy taking steroids and thinking he's gonna outrun Usain Bolt. Too fat. Too much weight.
story time we were going back from lunch to school and we were in a older Ford Explorer so then a mustang tried to out run us so there starts the race started we were racing and surprisingly we started to win but then the mustang sped up then slowed down then sped up again and that got me thinking what car can I get buy because I want to get a car that will be around 34 thousand that will beat the V8 mustang ????? pls help
The first 1320 had the passenger/rear seat delete, Cox Racing lightweight battery (9 lbs), and Race Star wheels with Mickey Thompson Street R's in the rear and skinnys in the front. Just weight reduction. The 4th run was the best at 11.569 seconds at 117.5 mph. The runs kept improving each time after sundown, but they closed the track as dew was a concern on the track. This 1320 had only 850 miles or 1,400 kms on it and was not broken in yet.
The green mustang has way better tires, they look like slicks. A bit of an advantage in my opinion. Im more of a mustang guy but i love all muscle to be honest
The green mustang is also not stock, but is very clean and has a decent driver. The Challenger owner knows his car well, was running pretty consistently the entire day it seems
Good race Fords are a dime a dozen they don’t impress me the lighter they cheap Dodge has what it takes to make a cool car love my 2018 Daytona you can keep all your little mustangs
@@shiba1918 except it doesn't look like the challenger is stock. Mustang ran a faster time than the purple challenger which was destroyed by the blue one
@@benjacob962 you missed the point, he’s saying if you modded both the mustang and the scat pack equally the mustang would still perform better, which is true. The 5.0 is just such a better engine and everyone knows that scats don’t handle mods as well.
I'm not really fan on any brand. I like fast good looking cars. But the best looking item on Challenger is the side mirror lol. Ford looks terrible too.. You just cannot compare these new muscle cars to originals.
The description says that green 5.0 is stock but like can anyone confirm? 10 second from just a tire and a fucking WHEELIE doesnt seem stock lmao either was all nice cars but damn that green 5.0 is mooooovvvviinnggggg
Yea it is. I was there racing my R/T for that street legal night. I chatted with the guy with the 1320 Challenger. The guy who’s driving it here isn’t the owner but a friend who also had a 1320 who had a lot of seat time with it at the track. This car has a factory rear seat delete. Even the stock air filter was still in it. The only thing after market on it were the tires. He ran a handful of 11.5s that night. The green mustang definitely was not stock, he was the guy who tech’d right before me before things got going. It was a nice car!
Any model of Challenger under the Hellcat is such a slow piece of shit and huge waste of money. Especially the 392. Do you even feel G forces on launch?
The scat and the buick look the same speed but i love my chevys and dodges that Buick Regal is nice id take that over any you can make the same hp with a bigger hp engine
@@zunknownzz1961 Nothing for me to get over. I am happy that the green Mustang got a good time. I am curious as to what has been done to modify the car, though.
@@shiba1918 both cars are nice but the people who talk smackare not at all car enthusiasts true car enthusiast like all setups and give each other credit!
@@RobSchauland still. Just my point. It's an even bigger engine. And mod or not it's still a 5.0... how fast you think a Ford engine would run at a 6.4🤔
@@dareuslomas94lol just my point. So it's ok for dodge to make a 6.4 oversized engine with superchargers on it to beat a modified 5.0? What motor company is better🤔
@@Damaineofdaatx What did he have to do to that Mustang to get it to go mid 10's though. There's a lot of money in modding that car. There's a supercharger or a turbo involved for certain. It's probably also running on E85. Unfortunately the Dodge 6.4 isn't the motor you wanna throw a bunch of mods at. The 1320 is supposed to be a straight out of the box high 11 second 1/4 mile car that can also perform well on the street.
Got a love all the replies will always be somebody faster always be somebody slower, to the guy called my Daytona a boat the Mustangs length is 188.3 my charger is 198.4 in length I wouldn’t call that a boat what I have is a 4dr Family Car with 485 hp I think you have to be 4 feet to sit in the backseat of a mustang and ride like crap everybody enjoy your muscle cars even you mustang owners
Better made? It depends on who you talk to. Some say Ford stands for (F)ix (O)r (R)epair (D)aily, or (F)found (O)n (R)oad (D)ead, while Ford supporters say (F)irst (O)n (R)ace (D)ay. The competition and brand loyalty makes for fun at the track. No matter what car someone loves and drives, there will always be someone faster.
