I watched your video before buying the Neighbor Haters for my 2020 Softail Slim. They look better than stock and sound amazing. My Harley now sounds like a Harley. Thank you for the great video.
Back in the old days we use to take a metal rod and knock out the baffles on the stock pipes. Save a lot of money. I have a lot of hearing loss. so it's not an option for me now. I ride with earplugs now to save what I have left. If you want really loud then Bub pipes are the way to go. My friend had them on his and it was painful to ride next to him on long trips. Especially going through the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel Bridge.
I currently bought a 2008 Dyna Street Bob with Screaming Eagle exhaust. Well.... there isn't anything screaming about them. Sounds like a Honda. I ordered the Cobra Neighbor Haters and I can't wait for them to come in. Great video. Excellent sound.
The pipes sound good, but the look of that thing is what grabs me. It's so gorgeous looking and in glossy black. That name of the pipes is quite humorous " Neighbor Hater " lol
Thanks. You should see it now. With Christmas and my wifes birthday this past weekend brought many upgrades. I will do a video soon to show off the bike. She loves it!
That's one hell of a Christmas present!!! I got socks!!! HAHAHA! Screaming Eagle Slip On's are nice. Get the Air Cleaner and a Tune and your stage 1 is complete! Stay safe!
I bought an 08 Dyna Street Bob with Screaming Eagles. California full baffle sucks. My homie has these Cobra Neighbor Haters. Loud and deep. I just ordered my pipes, can wait for them to come in.
It sounds a little different. But on a phone it's hard to tell. It does sound like the loudness of it lasts longer on the new setup. As you rev it it'd be nice to hear it in person. I have a 2006 Softail Deluxe just coming up on 18000
So it's been 2 years how do you like the slip-ons??? I'm asking because I'm ready to order the same ones , I just got a Harley-Davidson deluxe with the stock exhaust and it's TOO QUIET, and I can't quite afford the TRUE DUAL EXHAUST yet , so I was thinking about grabbing the slip-ons until I can afford the good Samson TRUE DUAL EXHAUST. Thank you so much for your time!! God bless
The what gaskets? Please get back to me I'm going to order these as soon as they are back in stock? Also where did you get the gaskets? Bike sounds great! I have the exact same bike, color and everything. Gotta love those White walls!
You have to replace the exhaust gaskets where the slip-on's fit onto the head pipe. You can pick them up at your local Harley Dealership. I hope this helps. My wife absolutely Loves her bike!
@@bigsargecustoms cool man thanks for the quick reply. Sounds amazing can't wait till they re stock. First thing I thought when I rode mine is #1 its way to quiet and #2 it doesn't have the Harley shake. But I can get over the shake but I gotta hear my baby scream!
LA Choppers slip ons are louder n deeper. The other choice are Maverick Crusher slip ons. These Cobras sound ok but lack the deeper throaty sound, or it could be because the bike is bone stock. No cams...
I got to watch it this time! Yeahhh! I have 2019 softail deluxe. Milwaukee eight motor. On video I guess sound doesn’t do it justice cause over my phone I hear very little difference. So from 1 to 10 what would you rate both sets of pipes?
You dont have to tune with just pipes. Its when you get a new airbox that you must retune the bike. Pipes are downstream so they dont really affect the flow through machine.
FranBunnyFFXII I kinda disagree with that one. With the catalytic converter in the muffler, changing the muffler will decrease the amount of back pressure, therefore more flow out of the engine. Whether or not you should tune after slip ons... I’d say you should if you can. With the catalytic converter gone, the bike can be dynoed with a sniffer, maybe run a bit more fuel into the charge, and run cooler, take your investment one step further. But to each their own. Really appreciate the video, gonna be putting a set on my ‘19 flhcs as soon as I can.
@@therythmoftheroad ask any motorcycle dealer and they'll tell you the same thing. Only if change the air box and also the header pipes but just the slip ons no.
@@cjg431 None at all. it runs great and the power is the same. I did have to tune my Road King Special because I put on the neighbor haters and a new Roland Sands Air Breather.
