Everyone is SUV crazy these days, nothing wrong with a good Sadan, they have separate locking trunks. A feature I like for a commuter car because I carry emergency roadside gear.
25-34 MPG is JUST OK, for you? You do know this has a Sym-AWD drivetrain, with a $22,200 starting price, and a great track record, right? There is no other car like this, right now.
MrWalker1000 😂😂😂😂😂tell that to the people getting stuck in snow, sliding all over the place on the roads and being forced to buy an SUV or another AWD vehicle if they live on a snowy weather area. With this car you DON'T need an SUV, it will take you anywhere in a safe manner.
For the most part, Legacy is a great car. I've purchased 3 of them. The audio system on several 2018 models is generally okay with one annoying function. I don't know about all models but this is certainly true for Legacy and Imprezza. When the car is started, the radio automatically comes on quite loud. When the car is turned off, the radio stays on until the door is opened. It doesn't help if you turn the radio off or the volume down. The audio system resets and the same annoying loud behavior is repeated when the car is restarted. So if you are on the phone or having a conversation with someone when you start the car, you will be interrupted and sometimes embarrassed by this annoying design flaw.
Press and hold down the volume button for about 30 seconds. The radio will completely shut off and will remain silent at start-up. To engage just push down on the volume knob and you will restore the audio. Yes it is annoying and a definite time waster. However you will appreciate the silence over the deafening roar you would otherwise be subjected to hearing.
@@SilverDog-zl9wm Glad to be of help. The Legacy may not be flashy or exude curb appeal however they will always never look outdated. Added bonus*** theft rates are nearly zero...something Camry and Accord can't say.
Living in Newyork , you definitely need a all wheel drive system. Too bad honda & toyota are not equipped with the awd system. The 2019 Nissan altima are comming out with a awd system but itshe not a full time awd like the subaru.
I know someone that has either a 2017 or 2018. It's had problems with the power steering and then some time later developed a problem, with the key being stuck in the ignition. Evidently a sensor was the problem with the key. The power steering was fixed but its noisy at times. I believe my friend is going to trade it in next year and doesn't want any more Suburu's. I've always heard Suburu was a good brand. Perhaps my friend just got one with problems. That can happen.
I just picked it up yesterday. I have the Sport with the optional packages but am unsure if it's 2.5 or 3.6. What I can tell you is the power is there when I need it. Supposing your aren't planning to redline this thing, either option should provide enough stab to get the job done.
Subaru's are known for nice interiors, but that exterior.....what were they thinking? It does not stand-out from the crowd and just looks like a Honda.
Now that you guys have owned your 2018 legacy for a year or two, any issues with the quality of the A/C? Thinking about a legacy, but live in FL and A/C is critical. TIA.
My co-worker just bought this car. It's nice. However, she is very annoyed of the fact that as soon as you turn on the car, the radio comes on, you turn if off and try to use navi and the raid comes on again. She called the Global Service and they told her its a feature. Does anyone know a heck to turn off the radio?
chokehold I got my legacy limited 3 days ago, and the taillights perfectli alignited, so the car reviewed here must have been the exception. By the way, I like it a lot.
MIQUEL AVERY a salesman told me they are actually getting rid of the v6 option entirely and moving to a turbo 4 cylinder. If thats true idk what the point is in sending out v6 models to dealers
JTundra I’m aware of that. It’s been controlled by the dealers so. The option gets less and less. Even though there’s a turbo that might come out. I’m not down with paying over $34k for a four banger tutor. Just need to keep six cylinder options. In General.
MIQUEL AVERY same. My options for the legacy are either A) custom order v4 for $25,000 or B) custom order v6 for $29550. Or ill just say to hell with it and get a wrx haha
There is no cooled seats nor a panoramic sunroof, but the exterior profile looks handsome and good, the interior looks good but the interior and exterior is still on the conservative side even though it is not utilitarian compared to the new Camry, Sonata, and the new Accord which go for a more sleeker, stylish, and a more premium appearance.
No HUD???? For 33k? Jeez it’s very Plain and very boxy design especially on the inside interior is very foxy and looks like like something out of General Motors of early 2000’s
I hate that high pitch ringing noise!!! Sounds like a flash bang just exploded in your face. I can’t believe people in Colorado actually drive this car.
The 2.5L with only 175 hp is not powerful because the vehicle is awd and it feels heavy when you drive it. It needs more horsepower 200hp or better. Same thing with the V6 it should be 300 hp or better. The leather interior needs to be better quality.
I have a 2010 legacy and was considering upgrading to the 2018... but it feels like the car exterior feels very flimsy and cheaply made. Too much plastic for my taste. I'm still on the fence because they do offer good value, not a fan of the parts being used. Also the engine is getting old, sure they improved ride quality and all but they are still using the same 2.5i engine from 2010... disappointment, I was hoping a bump on the hp, they should make this at least 200+ hp. All the other cars on this size and class usually pulls north of 200hp easily.
There is a lot of minuses on this vehicle although I like for will drive system for example as one gentleman was saying headlights uneven it’s something that is bothering me as well as single exhaust at the back when they could’ve easily put the second one and scored a lot more on the luxe as well as technology wise my comparison to Honda accord 2018 Honda is far far ahead of legacy
Live Leak, the new accord looks like they forgot to add some parts in the front, and, with a tiny (14 + gallons) fuel tank u don't go to far, u have to stop for gas before u need to go to the bathroom,
it's shame that these cars aka competitors of honda and toyota try to sell their vehicles at the same price as toyotas are..for instance freaking buick Hyundai and POS FORD are trying to compete with top selling cars (toyota , Subaru and Honda) . honda and Toyota have high resale value and millions of fans
Effin amazing car, but 1. No sports mode 2. No break hold 3. No Heads Up Display 4. No ventilated seats 5. No panoramic moonroof 6. No birds eye view 7. No cross lane camera 8. Cant start the car remotely from your cell phone or your smart watch. 9. No amazon alexa None of the above. Not even at the top trim at 33K. NO THANK YOU
antonio most cars have become cheap and plastic no shit. AND this is an affordable all family type car than those german car you're probably thinking about. If you're saying other cars like honda, kia, etc. arent plastic, you're ignorant.
