You had that beautiful Autel ADAS calibration stand in the background but decided to crawl around on the floor. Thank goodness Autel made the setup process much simpler then the OE "Tap and String method.

Very well done! Thank You. I am at a Collision shop that at this point wont invest in simple technology and either wants me to perform magic or send it to the Dealer. After this video, I know have a little more magic.

I didn’t know that was a camry but your video are spot on man I fixed my corolla 2018. I watch another video but they are really imitating because they have a whole crew. I should upload my version the noobs version 😂.

I had a recent rearend collision, from the outside it looked fairly "minor". The body shop said it needed to have the ADAS recalibrated. Since the insurance covered it, I had no reason not to have it done. I was surprised at the charge ($640) for the adjustment not including any parts. Rest of body work and paint came to over $4000.

Hi Dear, Please I have Camry 2018 and PCS is lambing all time and effort’s Cruise Control not working and message show in screen that (headlight malfunction visit your dear) I replace emblem to original one and i have the light in right side is not original one. If that calibration needs to be done with much attention on weight of the objects inside the vehicle, light behind the target and etc., how ADAS work properly in real environment since we have no control over the environment where we driving the vehicle?

Hello I have the same car (2018 camry) and I see two warning messages on the speedometer cluster (precollision malfunction and LDA malfunction). I serviced my car in toyota dealership to resolve these issues. They told me the radar is not communicating with the car and after few hours they told me that the radar is communicating with the car but still not programmed to the car. Any suggestion how I can fix this issue? Do you think I should ask toyota to keep try to program (or calibrate) and this will get resolved? Any hint? Thanks a lot for your advises in advance!

Mike Somerville yes. One wire was disconnected. A good electrician helped to fix it.

After a decade or so on the road and all the adjusters are froze and the plastic mounting brackets are brittle and broken, the customer's will only want to know how to take everything off and get rid of the warning messages on the dash

my nearest toyota dealership said diagnostics are $120 and this recalibration would be around $350

to many questians here all these accurate mesurements do they account for how many passengers in the car do they account for a trailer do they account for things in the boot of vehicle do they account tyre wear because in my opinion as an auto glazier when you replace a windscreen at most it could only be a couple mm out wich would be your smallest problem if any at all I have raised these questions with no answers that makes any sense at all from anyone that does these calibrations besides the fact they want $300-$400 to do this until some one has answers that actually make sense besides the answer that they auto calibrate these factors wich would mean it don't need to be calibrated at all

I'm very skeptical...Old windscreen out: Camera is carefully un-clipped from mount, but NOT disconnected from the harness. New windscreen in: Camera is clipped back in to the mount on the newly fitted screen. If the windscreen is fitted within tolerance (and that is REALLY hard to get wrong) I don't see why you'd need to re-calibrate. The dealerships and tech companies are of course loving this, but it sounds like a money spinner to me... Of course the brand agents are going to say you HAVE to re-calibrate regardless of what repair has been carried out, its a money machine! And OF COURSE the people who sell the calibration kits are happy to sell you a kit, for exactly the same reason. With frontal collision damage/roof pillar repair or replacement of camera or sensors I'd understand the need for calibration, and the subsequent need for the calibration kits but for a simple windscreen change, really???. I'd like to test my theory as follows: Check calibration of camera with old screen and camera in place, change screen, re-calibrate. My guess would be the same result...because Nothing has changed. Happy to be proved wrong, but show me the evidence!

Your TechStream subscription should provide one with all the info they need to complete that calibration processes. From what we understand, the targets are provided through a print process followed by a dimensional check.

Absolutely ridiculous . Im doing a wrecked rav4 and I bet when I send it out to get recalibrated.... no dealership is going to be measuring the floor or half the requirements to do this .

The measurents have to be correct or the camera adjust will fail and the warning lights will be on

Can I assume every car has to be positioned exactly the same . This is just plain lunacy. How many times can my white board floor be written on? Will the consumer laugh at me while I'm crawling around on the floor in my attempts to look professional? Car companies should be ashamed for allowing my insurance rates to go up because of this stupidity.

These calibrations are a joke. You cant possibly expect someone constantly calibrating these cameras for every little thing that happens. Just another way for cat manufacturers to make money. The lane assist doesn't go based off the centerline its programmed to detect the white/yellow lines on the road.

Very true, but positioning the target from center to passenger side and driver side is also required for lane departure....therefore that re-aligns camera when u drift off to the side.....i do these calibrations at my work and trust me, do i like doin them? Hellllll nooooo!!!
