Picture this: riding a new Triumph Speedmaster in the sunset of a nice summer day. Sounds a bit poetic? Well, it is. Riding a cruiser has a lot to do with that feeling of being free everyone refers to when it comes to motorcycling. And usually, riding a cruiser implies poetry, but that's it. Because when it comes to perfomance, it's not a top choice: weak brakes, poor suspension and no safety system.
Can the new Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster make a difference?

Thank you for posting this review! I believe (it's just me) this Triumph Speedmaster is a pure British old-school classic, the most beautifully designed and best cruiser out there :)

I'm almost sold on this bike but the (almost) zero lean angle is holding me back. I'd have the pegs ground off in no time.

Anthony, have you driven yours at speeds higher than 60mph? The video describes discomfort at speeds higher than this. I was very surprised. I bought the 2022 model just about a month ago, but I've only driven it in the city at no higher than 45mph, so I haven't experienced this yet.

@@deanbush I loved this bike. I have since sold it due to the rock hard spine jarring suspension. The smallest bump or divet would hit through the tailbone and up through my spine. I have since bought a Triumph 900 GT low..... the perfect bike for me, I absolutely love it!

OK so which is it? Are you feeling pretty good or are you experiencing back pain? Can't be both.

I Like the tank, distance between front wheel and headlight plus the fat front tyre, not keen on the rake and the size of the rear tyre,it needs to be at least 170 to fit that empty space at the rear and be proportionate with the beefy front.

I think it's Triumph's best looking bike. But, I'm not much of a cruiser guy. Maybe if it didn't have forward controls I could see myself owning one. But I'm really more of an adventure bike fan. I've owned many dual sport bikes and I love their versatile nature. I think maybe the Tiger 800 might be more my style.

My zx14r weighs the same has 200 hp and gets betterfuel economy at way higher speed. So i will keep that and get one these as well. Thevibes? The performance on bumpy roads? Well allmylocal roads are bumpy and 50 or 60 mph is too slow as my nearest big town is 90 miles away. Yet still I am drawn to this bike.

Got the 2019 model same bike in my garage at 80 mph could use a wind screen but you can still stand it it has a very high 1st gear but holds the road very well I feel like it's to small for me for some reason you really set up on the motorcycle

Seems the only Achilles Heel seems to be too much in the tank but gas. No real distance between fill-ups.

you will want to get risers for the handlebars as they will hit your knees trying to maneuver a u-turn, etc.

must be a different bike to the 1 that is sold in Australia because the 1 that I rode if you put it into 4th gear at 60kmh which is about 37mph it was too higher gear and it was happier in 3rd at that speed. No way could you ride it in 6th gear at 30mph

Hang on to your dream. Hang a picture on your fridge or bathroom mirror. Put an old jar ir coffee can out. Put your daily change in it daily. Sacrifice a few extras little by little and pu that money in your jar. Before you know it you will have your downpayment. Good luck and ride safe when you get your dream.

Triumph has 2 factories in UK and 2 in Thailand.I think the Twins are Thai,but components and engine parts,cranks,cams other stuff machined in UK.I went to the factory and saw the machining lines.It`s a global brand.HD make in India,Ducati make in Thailand.Not an exact science is it. If I buy a Harley ,to be truthful, I want it made in America(other than electrics,fuelling,suspension,tyres). THe UK is not big enough to support made in England policy.THe growing markets are Eastwards,that`s where you make.

If I should maintain a speed of 50-60 miles per hour in order to avoid the excessive noise being transferred from the engine to the foot pedals, there is no fun in spending my money in investing on a Bonneville Speedmaster. I would rather choose a thunderbird storm and enjoy an extra 20-30 miles with more comfort. But thunderbird storm has oil leakage problems. What else can I buy? Probably Indian Motorcycle Dark Horse.
@JoeHatesItHere
@JoeHatesItHere 5 лет назад
He's referring to the rpm range at that speed, if you go too high of an RPM at that speed, you'll get vibration in the footpegs. I just shift into a higher gear and the vibration is gone.

I'd say he's leaning forward a bit to combat the wind pressure. If he had a windshield on there his posture would be more erect.

eu inteleg ca vreti sa faceti content in engleza ca sa aveti reach mai mare. si ca nu tine duplicarea contentului im romana ca nu aveti timp sa trageti de 2 ori. dar de aici si pana la preturi in dolari, consumul dat in miles per gallon, top speed of x miles e cale lunga. suntem totusi, in Europa. de unde si pana unde vizati americanii cu acest content?

ONLY up to about 50 to 60 mph speed is comfortable????? I just bought this same bike but the 2022 model. I have driven only in the city so far, so I haven't been able to take it up to a higher speed than about 40mph, but I am disappointed to hear that there is shake at speeds higher than this. Did I understand this correctly?

Nice look BUT , cant lean to far before you scrape the pegs, fake British carb , them mirrors are a joke they look like they have came off a Indian Enfields,a rear seat that would wreck your backside, no room for a tent on the back,British design but built in Taiwan ,and over priced .
