I will never EVER forget this night,a packed out Sanford stadium with amazing energy all around and seeing those red lights was amazing and so memorable. I’ve been to way to many ga games to count but this one out of all of them is the best and most memorable
@@TravisDyson-qd9gw not many already liked us lol: we’re rowdy. but no one’s gonna be on top forever so within reason it’s okay to brag and flex. The fans don’t *play* the games. We don’t take this for granted. And every week someone could knock us off.
Just seeing this 3 years later but i wanted to tell you that the Irish fans in South Bend were unbelievably cool. The best road game experience ive ever had.
I'm not a ga fan like that, but I went to this game, and I had to represent the sec. We were in the nose bleeds on the Notre Dame side....every time I would drone on 3rd down, all the Notre damn fans around me were plugging their ears with their fingers. It was the loudest thing I've ever heard that wasn't motor racing
Notre Dame players are treated with so much disrespect when they have some of the most unique and respectful student athletes in college football. Yes they have loss some big games but they put as many players in the league as anybody, I just wish they’d join a conference.
No reason why this team shouldn't have run the table and go into the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP Game at 12-0. No they still wouldn't have beat LSU because LSU was Historically great and we were very banged up at the skill positions but this team should've ATLEAST gotten into the playoffs.
Tennessee visits Athens this year and I'll be at the game (if there's a football season at all), and you're crazy for being a Vols fan. Haven't you lost to Florida something like 15 games in a row? Oh, you want a second opinion? OK, you're ugly, too. ** Sorry, that joke is stolen from the late, great Rodney Dangerfield and I couldn't resist. Even though down, recently, Tennessee is always a tough game for us. And I'm sure you're an attractive fellow.
I really wish I was there. I was visiting some friends who go to UGA but didn’t have a ticket for the game. I’m transferring UGA next year so I’m hoping to see more games like this in person
Notre dame has had to play in some hostile road prime time crowds.(2011 Michigan, 2014 Florida state,2015 Clemson , 2017 Miami and last year the entrer sand man at Virginia tech)
Tai Weaver so true. As a notre Dame fan, it does suck to see us come up short in these huge road games. However, this could be an exaggeration, but I almost feel as tho Notre Dame elevated the College Football brand with there prime-time road games throughout the 2010’s. ND played in so many insane environments from Mich in 2011, Oklahoma in 2012, Michigan 2013, FSU 2014, Clemson 2015, Texas 2016, Miami 2017, VA Tech 2018, and Georgia this past season. The atmosphere of prime time road games for notre dame throughout the 2010s was absolutely electric and not sure any other program has had any tougher road games than the Irish in that time span
11:12 Funny, when an Ohio St OL did the same exact thing in the 2016 Fiesta Bowl to All American ND LB Jaylon Smith (destroying his his knee in the process & effecting the rest of his career) all I heard was, it was a legal hit. That players are allowed to play until the whistle blows. The sad thing about this hit by Eichenberg was that the play wasn't even over. Keys' knee hadn't touched the ground yet. Double-standards are a hell of a thing.
The hottest ticket in Georgia history? How about September 6, 1982 when UGA hosted the defending champion Clemson Tigers for the opening game of the season. And beat them 13 - 7.
Wow. Just seeing this game finally and I can’t believe how good Notre dame actually is. They made some boneheaded first quarter errors that may have cost them the game. Dawgs should feel good they squeaked by the Irish
Johnwayneerb - you meant that with all the PI calls never made, holding by ND, and fake injuries... ND was lucky that they didn’t get ran out of the building. Go sit your ass down with that dumb shit.
Daniel Mathis man stop making excuses. Georgia was pumped for this game as well. At the end of the day both teams have to strap up and play grown man football, why wouldn’t Georgia play their best? Notre Dame is a good team every year, they might not be the best but they always have a solid team, they put guys out.
@@jerimyjohnson546 I love Georgia but man they seem to not be able to get by the big one! like this one could be the Auburn game on the road! BTW, what happened to the Holyfield kid??
ive tried looking for auburn vs texas A&M full game but its no where to be found across other channels ive been unsucessfull that i cant see it id love for you to upload it for me it would be great to see it on here i know you are bulldogs games channel but since im an auburn fan i missed out since i was busy thank you sir for this one since i still suport georgia but auburn game would be well apreciated to see
I was at the game and damn was the atmosphere electric! But I gotta say that was the worst, sloppiest officiated football game I've ever seen. And most all of the bad calls went against the Dawgs smh. Even besides straight up missed calls the refs just seemed clueless af. Picking up flags, taking 20 mins to sort out a simple call, repeating themselves, etc.. It was ridiculous.
Daniels really was unfortunately the squeaky wheel on this team. Had a terrible game here and absolutely whiffed on the last play against devonte smith in the championship
@@MyGodaPodcast Ok, I get that they're students and all but what is the purpose or meaning of the spikes to begin with? If it's something to do with the spiked collars that are seen on bulldogs, shouldn't they wear spiked collars instead of pads?
@@christhornton1785 Here's their official organization page through UGA. Feel free to read their constitution: uga.campuslabs.com/engage/organization/spikesquaduga
I still cannot understand why there was a black Irishman. Do minorities want to be mascots or not? If they do, do they only want to take mascots that are white?
The NCAA should of fined the university and gave Notre Dame football team a warning on that disgusting act they pulled. Got away with a lot of no calls too. Granted George’s offense was not great in this game either but the score board could of very easily be very different. Georgia was still the better team by a mile.
"Baba O'Riley," The Who. It's on their great album, "Who's Next," (1971, I think). They still play it. Ah, turn it up! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KHwHs9RwXYw.html They play it immediately before kickoff at every Georgia game. (Sometimes, somebody get's something right.) Here's another little ditty from the same album. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WX_96uKZ7yQ.html

I would say both teams deserved to win, this was a big time slugfest between two great teams. Credit to ND for never letting up and fighting to the end.
Still so funny to me sec teams play each other every year and little ol irrelevant notre dame comes in and breaks all the records. Espn was the one who said we were irrelevant but we broke the records for fans at uga.😂😂 that’s still so crazy to me
Re-watching this in 2022, I have a different perspective on the fake injury issue. Since this game, which sure looked suspicious as ND players kept going down, I've seen and heard that officials direct players to go down to a knee so the refs know to stop the game. I've literally seen an official tell and show a player to go down so he can stop the game for an injury. Otherwise, they keep going. So when we see #11 from ND telling his teammate to go down, it's because he's hurt and that's how to get the game stopped. Same when one ND player went down when a different one was injured. It was just to get the injured guy off. Had nothing to do with faking or slowing down the offense. But at the time, it sure did look like it!
Bro, The Fighting Irish became "The Crying Irish" in this game because of the players dropping as the DAWGS got rolling. If it was real (which nobody thinks it was), the timing was extremely convenient.
kirby let nd stay close... he holds his cards till the last second (sec champ/playoffs are when he shows them) its just kirby! nd is a good team but uga's hurry up was killing them but we got the lead and kirby held his cards... now, i agree we (uga) needed to stomp a mud-hole in the irish to shut-up espn and other fans but the conf. and natty are more important than rankings and talking points title's = national respect... look at bama's past and what nick did there! go dawgs
Lmfao. You really think Kirby was just not trying? No. He's a shit coach who got lucky that ND resorted to conservative playcalling in the second half. He will be completely exposed by any team with a good QB, aggressive playcalling and a decent defense.
