I bet you being farm the east coast you are in heaven seeing these different style trucks from what your use to. I've seen some long nose macks I really liked.
Thank you much! So many to love, in this one. That '49 Kenworth, really trips my trigger. I'm imagining it, in a single axle version. Pulling a camper of mine someday. : - )
I'm 72 now but my first truck was a 36 chevy ton an a half (no brakes) then I got emancipated at 15 and got a 1951 mack, I am fuzzy on the numbers but it had a gas engine and three sticks and why I don't know cause it don't sound right but I think a B 52 on the hood next to the bulldog. I killed that truck loading heavy and over length and going through a double back switch back had a log chase through the deck load of logs was the top end of a tree I'd told them that they are all logs so throw it on! It went between the cab protector and in the cab with me taking out dash and the seat I was still setting in. I landed in the middle of the road and the load on the trailer crossed over my head not giving me a scratch (god was driving I guess) and the truck come to a stop and started rolling backwards right over that seat that I had found my legs and run. One of many to happen over the years but then was a mack ltl and then the narrow nose pete I fixed up and then the bank owned it so I wound up in a B56 mack with more crome than you could shake a stick at.... and then at 17 1/2 vietnam. This brings back many memories
