To me, the front looks better with the gray grille surround instead of the gloss black treatment. Overall, I find the Q8 rather aesthetically pleasing.
Just wait for the RSQ8, its gonna look sick with a new factory wide-bodykit. Just like the new RS6 and RS7, the RSQ8 is also going to have 4.5 cm wider stance on each side; so in total 9 cm wider than a regular one.(9 cm is 3.54 inches based on google converter). What I meant to say by all of this, if Q8 looks so good, its damn hard to imagine the RSQ8 beastliness.
You know that this version of the Q8 is £10-20k more with gloss black and black outlines. The grey colour sorrounding is the cheapest, dont know about you but grey looks really normal whereas this stands out and looks way more beautiful.

Do you know why companies are doing the fake exhausts now? Is it some legislation in Europe or what? As a designer, I would easily put the "fake" exhausts with deeper into the bumper so it actually looks more legit.
Omg!! We just bought this EXACT SUV configuration❤️ & everything you said is correct, it is the most relaxing SUV we’ve ever had. I wanted a Urus but that’ll be a few more years, but this look “similar” & we went for it. Love the channel & I’ll def be tagging you in a pic now👍🏼
My uncle has one with the Diesel and will get the SQ8 later this year (most probably) so I'm really excited about that. The engine is even more separated from the interior than in the A5, it's amazingly comfortable in it.
I've had my Q8 for about 3 months now - silver Prestige with everything except the Year One pack and the $6k stereo (also on 21" wheels). I was never on board with the whole "coupe" SUV, but the Audi doesn't feel like a compromise. It's a great car to commute in - though sometimes the driver assist features overreact. I'll throw in one complaint: Most of the infotainment is locked out when you're on the move - which is annoying when you have a passenger that is perfectly capable of handling it. I drove a '16 GLE 400 before - which honestly felt just as quick, but the Mercedes didn't ride anywhere near as well as the Audi does (admittedly, being effectively an ML by a different name, it's a dinosaur in comparison). I'm sure I'll be lusting after an SQ8/RS in the future, but by-and-large, the Q8 is an easy car to get along with.
Thinking of trading in my 16’ X5 in on a new Q8. Would you recommend it over a new X5 or GLE? Have already built and priced my Q8, almost fully loaded with the Black optics, upgraded rims like in the video, and everything else except the bang and Olufsen. Just wanted input from someone who has owned it, such as yourself. Thanks
@@mattX5 I'd say the Audi is a better highway companion than a GLE. My friend has the new 350 with air suspension and acoustic comfort pack and I still think the Q8 is a more serene drive. The 450 is obviously the direct competitor and is more refined than the 350, but I imagine I'd still prefer the Audi. Honestly, it makes most "luxury" cars feel downright brittle and loud in comparison. I haven't driven one with the 22" wheels but I imagine it's still at the top of the pack. The GLE is a very nice car but I don't think I'd go for one if I were in the market. I've had the car for just over a year now and still no major complaints (in fact, the driver assist complaint has been mostly resolved under warranty).

Ironically enough, my fiancé and I just decided last night that we’re going to keep our X5 an extra 1 1/2 years and buy a second weekend car, likely a CPO 2018 Audi S5 or something of that nature. Will definitely look at the Q8 in a year and a half. Thanks again
@@mattX5 As for the X5, the local BMW dealer annoyed me so I didn't spend too much time on it. The one thing I'll note is the GLE/Q8 have massive back seats compared the the BMW. I don't think you'll be disappointed with whichever you end up with.
14:37 - Yes, Yuri, I have that fear literally everytime I have to move my sun visor to block the sun on the left side of my car when my windows are down... Instead, I just started putting the garage opener in my center console whenever I have to move the sun visor to the side. I agree with you 100%! That is a serious fear of mine! 😬

If you like to wipe down your dash every time you get in your car, then that gloss black is beautiful. But look at every car review on RU-vid, and when they do a close-up, take note of the gloss black areas, inevitably they are covered by, and accentuate, specks of lint and dust.
I work making those fancy headunits. I strongly agree. The companies that get outsourced to make the hardware are trash. They cheap out on everything, and don't understand basic practices. Most of the PCs that power them, aren't even given cooling fans, because "we need to keep noise and power usage down". Keep in mind a fan uses 1 watt of power. So these boxes are basically designed to fail in a couple of years. The run at like 90+ degrees. Which anyone who plays with PCs can tell you, is way too damn hot for a computer.
Songyi Fan ; In the US people don’t like to lease. In Europe however leasing is the best solution not only because everything is covered in a package but also because this way their very restrictive government can’t harass them financially or take away their cars (it should sound like nonsense to Americans but here if you’re a millionaire you better lease your cars instead of buying them if you don’t want the gov on your back) plus you this way when you’re bored you can easily get rid of it too by closing the files and then lease new car (that’s how people can change their supercars so frequently and quickly).
What about the taxes after???? Because in my country u pay 1300 euros for a fcking v8 engine per year so screw your v8 and not even talking about the fuel consumption.
Vali _Ciocan, since you want to get technical. The inline 6 X5 is still faster and much cheaper than this Q8. The X5 xdrive 40i gets to 60 in 5.3 seconds vs the Q8 5.7 seconds. Fuel economy on the X5 is better too, 20 city and 26 hwy, vs the Q8’s 17 city and 22 hwy. Sorry man, the Q8 is just not a good buy.
My wife has the Q8 in all black and has the cool futuristic alloys. It looks next level. The Sat Nav with the google satellite maps is stunning and makes driving so much more enjoyable for a passenger as you glance to the center screen. I love it, so comfortable and with the opposite turning of the wheels has the same turning circle as an Audi A3! Brilliant car!

Sup guys, I actually really like how this looks. The integration of the Audi tech works well. Best in class I think from your review. Only downside being the blank exhaust. We love Audi SUV in New Zealand so this might do well. Could I suggest you guys talk about moon/sunroofs in wagons and suvs, some people really want this? Cheers
Finally someone mentions that Audi does not really have a LDW. Which is upsetting my previous car, accord had LDW and kept me in the lane. Subtle thing that helps
Audi's future is e-tron so this is why most of their designs are omitting the exhaust in the bumper. Basically they're preparing their customers for a future Audi without an ICE
My favorite thing about the Q8 is that you can tow a red jet ski, which I have, and the red jet ski also looks great behind a red Raptor, which I also have, and here's some footage of me having fun with said Raptor and said Jet Ski... That's great. So as for interior materials... lmao you guys are the best!
Having a built-in garage door opener is convenient, yes, but also safer. If you park your car outside and someone breaks into it, they can open your garage with the clicker. With a built-in garage door opener, the power is cut if the ignition is not on, so they can't open your garage.
The bottom line for Audi is the wealthy customer who doesn't know anything about cars. They're the type of customer to get annoyed by exhaust soot building up on chrome tips
Squid McFishfish Sorry but you sound completely dumb saying Audi is for people who don’t care about cars. I’m looking at an Audi Q8 and I really care about cars. Most people who buy sporty, luxurious cars like Audi’s care about their cars or they wouldn’t be looking to spend $80,000+ on a vehicle.
335 in a SUV though in a high end brand... this ain’t an “average” car. but it’s meant for comfort not to be a sports car so I get it... it would be nice to have an S or RS variant.
that's the difference between Audis and the other german brands. they don't have this futuristic touch. Audi's interior look straight out of a sci fi spaceship
