Adaptive dampers don't make the car more comfortable though it's misleading in that "comfort mode" is actually normal mode on standard cars.

really love how nice and modern is this car, but every person I know who are owning bmw car were all faced problems with their cars. such as, electrical problems, mechanical problems. Love it, want to buy it, but also scar of it at the same time.

Pretty good option. I will consider upgrading my X3 20d 2016 to the new X3 in the next couple of years instead of getting X5 next. Cheers!

Aside from Apple CarPlay and a digital speedo, this 2018 X3 has nothing my 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC doesn't already have. Except most of the tech and virtually all the safety gear in the GLC is standard, not optional.

Yeah the GLC looks very nice from the outside, but smaller rear seat room, class lagging boot space, and no where near the drive feel. GLC was originally my first choice, but the new X3 and XC60 are the two to beat in the class.

Adaptive suspension will not improve comfort over standard suspension. It is the 20” rims and “run-on-flat” tyres that give the bumpy ride. I just traded my really confortable 2013 X3 with 17” normal tyres and standard suspension, for a 2017 X4 35D with M-Sport package, 20” rims and adaptive suspension.

Did about 100 000 km in 2005 2l diesel x3 still miss the x3 at least it's a BMW. New Volvo suv ,s nice but will never consider the Volvo's they all come with VW engineered engine i do not believe Volvo are building their own engines yet. Land Rover also do not build their own engines are still using a Ford derived engine. For me it's all about authenticity.

Almost as nice as Volvo - which is so much more premium and luxury. Mazda as well is premium just like BMW today and tens of thousands of dollars less.

The XC60 is nice but the diesel engines are a lot louder... also think the tech in the X3 is a bit sharper. But the Volvo seats are comfier. Hard choice.

for sure! it looks like something from the future and not the past like this bmw. Pretty sure the bmw is a good car, but the volvo is just as great but looks better!

At the end of the day there will be a massive depreciation on the volvo compared to the bmw. You might have a better looking car but it may not also last in build quality or reliability compared to BMW. Plus the BM is designed by an Aussie which is great.

Good generic review but unfortunately another one where the reviewer has just accepted the manufacturers stats and presented them as gospel. I think all reviewers have a responsibility to test the actual fuel consumption (easily done from the gauges) because most mfrs quoted consumption figures are generous by about 20 pct.

If you cant park your car at such a big gap, this would be your last problem - you clearly have no place in any car and you are dangerous for the other road users! ...oh, and I hate the new "top of dash mounted screen"! ...and basically I think all new electronic is just a gimmick and totally useless!!!

Oggy Oggy photos and videos compliment Volvo interior more than bmw. I test drove an xc60 and realized the interior quality is not as good as bmw. The leather are hard and dashboard materials feels light and hollowish. Bmw has a more expensive feel.

Felix Deragon 4 cyl. engines are NOT premium, always identifiable by noise, idle, output. Why Enzo Ferrari insisted on V12s for his cars, every engine layout has distinctive features. BMW's I6 superior to V6, 4's economy models.

I have X5 made in SC. quality is TOTAL DISASTER. they cannot even make DOOR HANDLES. Material disintergrates and my X5 handles are gluey and have to be replaced. I will NEVER EVER GET A GERMAN CAR. Only Lexus for me. BMW quality SUCKS! My X5 transmission disntegrated at 190Kmiles because I FOLLOWED BMW/ZF recommendation of LIFETIME OIL. Soon later engine - where I replaced oil meticulously broke down ENTIRELY. I have a toyota with 2x miles. NO ISSUES AT ALL. BMW quality esp quality of materials and general engineering is DISASTER. FYI. TO TOW the car u need special red 'hammer' tool to disengage transmissionm into NEUTRAL to pull it on a truck. SAME THING in a Camry requires a PUSH of a button no special WEIRD IDIOT ENIGNEERING red hammers easy to lose. I will not mention the insane problems with getting parts for fuel pump recall forced on them by NHTSA. BMW dealers and BMW corporate had me stranded in California without parts for MONTHS. NO refund for all tows and hassles. TOTAL DISASTER COMPANY. Never again BMW

This X3 had never been EUROPE popular SUV compare to GLC , XC60 and Q5 BMW exterior design looks boring and old fashion. Not premium at all and will never be
