I almost recently bought the Nakamichi 9.2.4 Soundbar system, which from all reviews I read, appears to be GREAT! But in my research, one fellow who had reviewed several of the new Dolby Atmos SB's said that, I believe it was same Bose setup that you have there, he'd prefer the Bose even though it lacked those Formats...but - it just sounded so GOOD!
Yes u can. I just picked up a second one. U can have the rear surround speakers and 2 bass module hooked up to the bose 500 and 700. I have a bose 500 soundbar with two 700 bass module and surround speakers. It sounds amazing!

I believe so and also no the bass modules do not overpower any vocals from the rears or soundbar. It fills in the spots that would be lacking with just the one.

I've been nervous to put so much money down on a soundbar based surround sound system but was blown away at the clarity in a demo room today of a soundbar 500. I note that Bose tends to get bashed quite often on audio sites. I played classical music for years and i have you say that ive been genuinely surprised that they managed to get such a loud big speaker sound from the 700 omnijewels. Thanks for your response. At this moment and after changing my room I decided to change my old sound system which it was Harman Kardon 5.1 and replace it with bose sound bar. I’m happy with it and really the sound bar more than enough without the subwoofer
I have heard a lot of sound bar systems, The Bose for sound bars around that price point I personally think is superior. Sony, Samsung etc sounds muddy especially the bass. The Bose is crisp and punchy I’m surprised in how good it is. I love my set up. I think vocals and highs at its strong point

In your Opinion, about the overall performance of 1) Bose Bass Module with 2 Surround Speakers with Bose Soundbar 700 2) Sony STR-DN1080 Receiver with Bose Accoustimass 10 Which combination gives the Best Sound Quality (Bass, Treble Punch and Clarity) apart from the Convenience of Wireless Connectivity and Dolby ATMOS? Can the Soundbar-Bass Module-Surround Speakers combination provide as much punch without a Receiver or Amp connected? I am a bit confused about it. hey, Great answer ( and I hope you subscribed to this channel ), to my ears for a full surround experience the Sony DN1080 with accoustimass 10 would be a better choice, the bass might be lacking a little but other then that, you will have a better set-up with an option to upgrade down the line :)
It truly is, the reason people dislike it, is Bose has a huge markup cause of the brand which is true but As sound quality goes. The Bose soundbar is levels above any other soundbar i have heard.
I own this .... but I have some Bluetooth connectivity issues playing from my phone I mean audio glitches so I use AirPlay for iTunes it’s absolutely brilliant

Looked at the sound touch 300 and its about $399.00 now. But worried if i go with that Bose will make it were no more updates and not work with future Bose stuff. So you think its just better off going for the 700 ?

My suggestion, as an owner and user of the bose lifestyle 48 series iv with the jewel cubes and the acoustimass module, keep the bass halfway up or increased all the way to '10'. Keep the treble at '0' which is the default. This is the setting I suggest after having done that AdaptIQ calibration.
I dont think you could connect the rear as it is wireless so they have to be Bose, but the Subwoofer as they do provide to be connected wired might work, i will make a video about it and tell you what i find.

Drumming in the ears persisted for several minutes and I also went deaf for a few moments. I was stunned and found out that it was the battery that exploded. Contacted Bose straight away and of course they told me to wait. Well, guess what. The wait lasted for a month. Bose Hong Kong (I bought the earphones in Hong Kong and am still living in Hong Kong.) never had the intention to offer any compensation. I was outraged that Bose actually had the audacity to demand that I return the earphones, charging case and power cable. Not only do Bose sell defective products, they concealed the safety issues that could endanger their customers. I have this sound bar along the bass module and the surround speakers for 6 months. Yes the sound quality is excellent and i am happy with it, but to be very honest the stereo effect from the sound bar is not that precise. What ever you can say and praises you give, it can't reproduce a clear transition from left/right and right left effects. It is a soundbar not a true 5.1. We should not be emotional and hide that truth from consumers, I would love if bose can provide surround speakers for the front, or to make another lifestyle product without a blueray. Another point, when increasing the volume more than 50% the sound stays clear, but it is so powerful that I no longer can enjoy the sound. a workaround i have found is to set the middle to -30.
I purchased this soundbar new 6 months ago. It failed to deliver sound through the optical connection after a firmware upgrade. Bose refused to accept that there was an issue and came up with all the excuses from faulty optical cord to faulty TV. It was obviously the firmware upgrade that caused the problem after trying different optical cables and another branded soundbar delivering the same result i.e faulty Bose soundbar post firmware upgrade but still Bose refused to accept that it was their firmware that caused the issue. The bottom line is, be careful when purchasing a Bose product as they WON'T honor their claimed warranty as a result I'll never purchase a Bose product again and think you should look at alternatives
Great video. I have been really impressed with this soundbar. We have a fairly large family room and this product delivers beautiful sound for movies and music. I just installed the rear surround speakers to ceiling using pre-existing speaker wire (power only), so far I have been really impressed. I had to play around with the rear speaker setting on the app, but it works great. Now I just need the Subwoofer and I will be complete. Is the Subwoofer a game changer?

The JBL is a great surround system for the money and intro for surround system. Especially with the surround speakers. Bose is also great but with more detail and the bass module with better lows and like you can feel/hear the thunder. I had the jbl 5.1 a day ago, sold it to my friend. The thing I will miss about the jbl 5.1 are the surround speakers that are completely wireless, no cable needed period. The bass hits hard but it caps at like around 35. The sound bar has good highs also liked the fact that you could charge the surround with the soundbar or micro USB. Anyhow there wasn't much meds or low meds from the sound bar. But its actually a really good sound system over all for less than $700. Now to the bose, got the 5.1 set up. Downside is that the Bose soundtouch only has one hdmi which is arc Also optical but my tv didnt have both so had to bring in my smaller tv because it had optical. But the soundtouch had better meds and lows for being a soundbar. Highs not so well but could adjust it through the app. The soundbar itself still thumped. Which the JBL couldn't. But there was more detailed sounds you could listen when watching a movie. It was more noticeable than the jbl. I like the Bose because of better smaller details than the jbl. Wished somehow they could be combined lol. But now the acoustimass 700. Let me tell you, that thing is small but it hits hard and better at lower frequencies compared to the jbl sub. Both are 10" but the sub for bose is something different. When watching movies, with bose, you'll feel it and hear the necessary lows. The jbl sometimes I didnt want to hear the upper lows, domt get me wrong it was still a good sub but the bose has more of a movie theater bass with the thump. Only thing with bose that it's a bit hard to setup. Had to the research on how to increase the sub volume and also to connect to the sound bar. Doesnt really tell you in the manual. Jbl is easier to set up. Both setups are great, although bose more of a movie theater bass thump. I dont regret getting the Bose 5.1 system. Haven't installed the surround speakers but can already imagine the difference.
Go with the jbl 5.1 am a proud owner of it unlike the bose jbl bar surround speakers are truly wireless and can give theater like surround effects and about the sub it's pretty badass 300 watts rms wall shaking bass can go pretty low to 35hz
It’s really good I owned one Great for everyday listening including music But for movies you definitely want to get a sub especially if you are a movie buff
you don't know what it delivers, i had the exactly same opinion as yours, but when i bought it ,it blew me away, you will never feel that it isn't worth that much!

@@gabe6959 Hi, even if it is 300w or 1000w, it doesn't mean your using the full 1000w all the time, and majority of the time it will not :) so your power bill would be the same
