we are looking into the 2019 Camry Hybrid as our next new car this summer. So far the HLE has our eye. Bought a 2017 Expedition XLT EL 2yrs ago, big mistake. Taking our time with research now. lol Love your videos.

It's to bad Toyota skimped out on LED taillights for the Le model. I was behind a base model Hyundai with full LED taillights, that's weak Toyota.

The 2019 Camry base model technically has all LED taillights, they just don't really look look it unless you really know a lot about lights. They are not as elaborate as the high trim model but they actually are all LED

@@alexmason2763 You're probably right, but it does look cheap to have those huge lights, and all that's uses for the tail/brake lamp is an approx 5'' strip. Much like my wife's 2017 Camry, where a single incandescent bulb lights a small area of the red lens. At least they have amber turn signals.

Is there a difference in the hybrid battery packs. I heard that Le has lithium ion whilst other grades still use the nickel batteries

I think so....or vice versa....but either way the base model gets better MPG so that's the one i would get....wouldn't' want to spend more money to get worse fuel economy.

Great comparison video Jeff! Of those 2 I would go with the XLE model. However if I were actually going with a Camry Hybrid it would have to be the Camry SE Hybrid! Also I don't recall for sure, but if your dealership ever gets an Avalon XSE Hybrid model in you could do a review for us on that. If I were to trade up, I'm afraid I'm tossed between the Avalon XSE Hybrid or the normal Camry XSE 4 cylinder with built in Navigation and whatever else it could be optioned out with. Color to be determined. Mark in Iowa.

Between a Camry XLE hybrid and Avalon hybrid. I go for Avalon Limited hybrid.

This trend of white gauges and white needles needs to stop. They are ugly and boring, and the information doesn't register in your brain as quick as it would with a different colored needle, so you're looking away from the road longer. Besides, who doesn't like a nice colorful gauge cluster. Also, for the LE, that's a lot of taillight that doesn't light up.

The Hybrid XLE sold in Europe comes with LED fog lights. I can’t believe North American doesn’t have them

my xle gets 58.1 mpg in the summer spring and fall ...not all the time but still great also i can cruise up to 80mph and the gas motor will turn off to save gas..PS..the fastest i had this car going was 135mph!
