In todays video I take a look at a 2019 Ford fusion that has a check engine light on and was said to be overheating. I attempt to confirm and overheating condition and troubleshoot why the check engine light is on.

Is he located in Florida and i have the same issues with my 2019 ford fusion love the car but check engine light on for evap system and when i fill my car up with gas it wont start i have to give it a little gas could you help me out

2019 fusion 2.5 Jesus help me please I just did it all went to put the new thermostat on and noticed a small brass circular piece on the ground does it go in the hole and if it does any certain direction thank you

My 2016 for fusion started marking Overheating on a cool day. I pulled over and checked the coolant level and there was sufficient coolant in the reservoir. I had extra coolant in my trunk. So i filled it. Started my car and there was a huge loss of power. My car couldn't accelerate above 5 mph.

You are 100% going into limp mode. My advice is to have the codes pulled and see if you have a cylinder head over-temp code. Usually when these have a head gasket failure they have low coolant level. For you it could be thermostat, fans or something else. Start with pulling the fault codes.

I have same problem with overheating. While driving suddenly it showed Engine coolant Overtemperature. What should I do?

I would start with checking the coolant level in the Tank to see if you have any. If that is good, Allow the engine to reach normal working temp turn the car off and feel both upper and lower hose they should both be hot. If the lower is cold than you have a stuck closed thermostat. if both are fine it can be a failing coolant temp sensor. for that you need to pull any trouble codes.

by overheating isn't confirmed you mean that there is no exhaust vapors in the coolant meaning there is no head gasket leak ? right ?

That is correct. For a definite confirmation I would need to see evidence of coolant into the chamber or even white smoke from the tailpipe. While cylinder leaking is very common in these engines you want to make sure 100% before engine or cylinder head work. Also this vehicle never ran hot on me when I had it.
