I'm pretty sure that was merely a coincidence. There's still lots of high level tactics/strategies used in these games that are similar in difficulty, though.
@@calliph Yeah, because Stats wanted to attack right when he switched to his army. He pulled back when he saw the placement of the biles. Artosis just made a big deal about it because it's his job to hype up and engage the viewers. What he said was possible, but seemingly highly unlikely to me.
I wanted Stats to dive on swarm hosts whenever they were extended. And put a few cannons on the perimeter of the main for vision and to defend against nydus/burrow. Stats was totally contained in match 2 by these two things
Good series, although it's kinda sad that basically the only way for Protoss to have any chance against Zerg is by cheesing them at the start of the game. Even with near perfect defense, Stats couldn't survive the attacks in game 2. Nydus is just way too unbalanced in the hands of a competent player.
That second match teached me that if I want to beat Nydus as protoss, I just need to play 5 times as good as Stats did and I will be ok :) Edit. Also the other matches teached me that I need to canon rush to reach nydus stage even instead of behind eventhough nothing happened, and that with the muta strat if you forget bane speed you are ded and Jimrising will whine protoss OP, that delusional dude LUL

Dude, this games mechamisms have become "ahhhhhh look how I've slightly changed my gameplay since the last update!" Its become so fucken boring to watch. It used to be that Maru's quick dropping everywhere was the shit cuz he did it so well, and Rogue swarming his opponent with his crazy fucken macro was sick AF Cuz no one had ever played like that, and Classic abusing how good protoss was in the early and late game was the fucken shit man. Now, everytime I see these games I'm sarcastically thinking "wow, so he did the drop thing again huh? Nice..." or (sarcastically thinking again when rogue or dark is playing) "sick, hes macro-ing again to smash, nice..." or when classic is playing "sick, so you're telling me hes archon dropping or macro-ing huh? Siiiiick bro" this shit has become become so vanilla you can hear it In the castor's voice man. I get how difficult it is to perform at these levels, but this game has been out since 2008(?) And the only thing we get are "patch updates" and "oh well, now its free to play! What more do you want?!?!" I used to love this game because people always came up with ingenious ways to play it. It's all just a copy and paste now, with everyone (including myself)(besides the Chinese players((Has)) copying Maru and innovation, rogue and dark, and classic and whomever the other mother fucks plays protoss well (Zest? Harstem? ((Jk bout harstem))). I guess what I'm trying to say is that this game is broken/fixed/bullshit/frustrating cuz I have been seeing the same gameplay. "Oh shit bro, you didn't expect the proxy racks or the Oracle?!?!" FRIGG OFF BRUUUUTHER
rogue threw that so hard. maybe strategically but yeah i've never been so sure that someone threw a match. not cuz i think rogue is so much better than stats, but because his race is too strong to lose so badly.

Caster is always more difficult to micro. You may need some extra hotkey for them. For Storm, it isn't hard to use but still not hard to avoid. Fight with Storm comes down to the enemy micro and you see Rogue not even try dodging it and take full damage. That is a bad micro from Rogue.
The same can be said for all one click casters. It's not a problem unique to protoss. The same argument could be made about the casters going crazy over nydus multitask. It is almost always harder to defend than it is to attack. They gave stats his dews here though
@@Whalery yeah most the time you get storms like these is because the other player miss microed. But at the same time 'poor micro by rogue' is not something the audience wants to hear in such a major moment
Stats played very well here. Though, Rogue's play this series was very low level. Losing twice to cannon rush, and then forgetting baneling speed in a in a baneling all in. Ouch.
@@superchaosnova5910 well not exactly, Serral could play in this if he wanted. I know a few non-koreans played in the qualifiers (Astrea did for sure had a pretty sick run taking a series off soO but didn't make it) I don't think Serral wants to travel to Korean for stuff like this. He has hinted at that when commenting on why he isn't going to play GSL.
Why would he have to go to Korea? That's just bothering to him. Many players outside Korea don't really want to live in Korea in uncomfortable life just to participate the tournament. SpeciaL and Scarlett have some backup in Korea so they can live easier than other. People like you who love commenting about "Why Serral not join GSL or this or that tournament" just want attention and try make him looks inferior to Koreans because he didn't even care to participate. Why would he have to?
