Btw very honest review Bobby.. especially the extra power that make the car feel less steady than it is.. i even heard ppl comparing handling of lets say, a Waja MMC and Civic 1.5 TCP.. put the same engine on the waja and its totally different story.. that chassis hardly can take that power on the original chassis setup..

Hi Bobby, I know it is kinda late to comment on this now. It is 2023 and i m thinking bout buying this CX-5 2.5T. Wat are your thoughts or shud i wait for the next gen? And will it need some soundproofing upgrade from Desmond from KL AUTO? Coz i did hear quite a bit of road noise from your vlog.

Actually the removal of the 4wd system concerns me for the diesel. But of course the power is good enough

Hi Bobby.. in terms of value for money Vs power and fuel consumption, what's your take between 2.5T Vs 2.2D? I know that the Diesel is 40HP less however 30nm of torque higher, which you think would be the best option? Also the Diesel is 9k cheaper. I may sound like an el cheapo, but trying to justify the additional 9k (can use for solid tinting and other accessories if purchased a Diesel). Also the consumption of Diesel is much better compared to petrol( on paper). Will the AWD Vs 2 wheel make a diff in terms of power delivery? My drives are day to day inter city highways. Once in a blue moon Genting (maybe can travel more with these kinda torque.. haha). Thanks.. sorry for the lengthy questions.

My experience with Mazda's diesel and turbo, both arent as efficient as rivals (premium rivals). Biggest concern with diesel is FWD, it wheel spins here and there. I'd go for the petrol turbo

Vicknobashanth John overheat + oil leaking + suddenly lost power for Diesel engine, better just listen to Bobby, petrol turbo is the best choice, beside AWD is a must for SUV

Hi Bobby, does the 2.5T requires ron97 ? As i've read that the skyactiv compression ratio is higher than other turbocharged engines. Even though it might be fine to use 95 for a while, but i worry for the long term issue as the warranty is only 100,000km (probably hit first) or 5years. If you owned the car, which fuel would you use and why? Thanks

(While waiting bobby to answer..) i think no issue with 95 coz it is tuned to ron95. This is the turbo engine with recycle exhaust gases to eliminate knocking and improving fc.

@@Decimal86Mach Hopefully thats the case as I wouldn't want a daily driver that REQUIRES 97. Although I don't mind once in a while to fill up with 97,99,100ron for the extra 25hp gain ,but not at every fill up ....

Agree with you, my E350e has turbo lag, very annoying going up a multistorey carpark ramp. Yes I would pay 30K or more to buy the 2.5AWD CX5 but first I will sell off my E350e.

much improved from 1st-gen CX-5, acceptable to me (previous owner of Ford Kuga). I don't really listen to music, thus soundproofing is important to me.

Higher than the normal ones of course, but dont bother, its not ridiculous FC, i would say like a normal car... since SkyActiv cars have such a good FC

Dear @Bobby , have you ever playback the vlog you upload to YT? suggest you learn from Kon or other youtubers, use ext- microphones. the road noise and engine noise really made me lost of interest to continue to watch your video.
