I was pleasantly surprised when you opened the door and it wasn't an automatic transmission. Great looking truck. I still like the look of the W900L Kenworth too.
Haven't seen your video's in a while. You always showcase gorgeous tractors. I'm no trucker however I'd be proud owning & driving a rig made by your company. Only downside is drive-thru-s. God Bless
I’m only 15 but my dad has been driving trucks for about 30 years now (he’s 54) and I would always get in the truck as a kid and now I plan on getting into trucking. He’s worked for mscarriers, knight transportation, heartland and now works for Kroger driving trucks. He’s done a few other jobs but I can’t think of the names. As a kid I was always fascinated about semi trucks and now cause of my age I can go on the road with him.
Fascinating that some truck models hardly not changed their outer appearence for decades, and still sells well, while car companies needs to come up with new designs all the time to keep sales going;) But hey, why change something that works, I'm all in.
Rimrock 300 I have just watched a youtube video of a guy recovering a 1977 Peterbilt. That's 42 years ago.The external look of the truck seems hardly to have changed. Still has the aerodynamics of a brick but never mind. I suppose they go with the saying 'If it ain't broke don't fix it". Here's the link if you want to see the old lady being fired up after 18 years. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EIz5SuUO6Kc.html
You really need to look to tell the difference over the last 35 years even the older ones as driving by they all have the same look 80-90-2000-and up are all the same older ones you need to look at hoods and door handels and windshields to seperate the years
+Rimrock300: You gotta be a die hard fan to drive old stuff like this. Their new offerings are far superior in every way compared to this. Check out that 1930's style clutch pedal. The front end tends to wash out in the rain. Same dashboard since 2006. These 389's are for fanboys only.
@@TeeroyHammermill Yeah, I would think so. Personally I think a older/cheaper version of this one would be fine for a show / hobby truck, but for a daily driver I guess most would go for a more modern higher comfort truck)
Thank you for making this truck when my site was better I could see this color And now it's on a 389 Peterbilt that's even better thank you for making it
Love how this truck looks. New company just put me in a brand new 2019 389 heavy haul with that x15 but says 100 year anniversary edition. It is my first truck with disc brakes and I too thought well dot won't be able to hit me for brakes at least.
What's your thoughts on a 18 speed Eaton Ultra shift plus, automated transmission. I'm hearing they're getting better all the time and are gaining in popularity?
The video is very good ... Congratulations! I am from Brazil and I love American trucks alias Everything in the U.S. is well made I am facinado by the American culture ... like my friend👍
peterbilt is the real truck . i use to admire European truck like mercedes .man. Volvo. but petebilt specially the 379 is nothing closer. durability. comfort and charm. oh the engine sound! mate. i said it Porsche for sport toyota for desert peterbilt for hauling don't take any notice
This wheelbase is just right I think the ones those guys stretch to rediculas lengths looks like crap like a cab at the end of a pogo stick I guess there compensating but they get rediculas nice truck
I am Korean and I live in Korea. It is hard to see because Do not sell this type of truck in Korea. And I do not like trucks like the Scania R or Volvo FH being sold in Korea. Thank you for uploading this cool video.
Nice set-up looks good and the Davco filter system is the kicker way to go 4Sure no more hard prime-up after replacing the filter and the 1000 mile change crap...what's happening to your buddy,...aka life is good, youtube , man that guy just can't make up his mind at his age what to do, Come-On. just sold his kicker PETE 389 ???
Does it come in righthand drive? would love to have one of these trucks in Australia, that mandarin orange paint finish is beautiful with the chrome finishes. Amazing Truck :)
Have u gotten any feedback on ur 579's that u have sold with the x15 performance motors as far as mpg? Its a complicated question to answer, but just curious if u have heard back on any of them.
Peterbilt Steve that would be a nice Truck to lease on to Ghorley Trucking as long as it's got a Cummins X15 in it. Good looking ride, do you guy's paint to so it could have a Gun metal gray added to it.
