Totally agree - and now that they've finally updated the front, I'm all in. I hated the "semi-rig" look. This is a perfect blend of truckiness and classic car look.

In my opinion, Ram is going after the “family friendly” crowd, and Ford is going after the more labor intensive person. I driven both and I think the Ram drives better and it’s quiet in the inside. If you’re a family person that really isn’t going to haul tons and tons of things a lot, Ram is the truck to buy. If you’re more of a hauler, Ford is your thing. Both are great trucks for different things. We can all agree don’t buy a Chevy or GMC lol

So, the argument is the Ram is a better 'truck' because it's more like a car, while the F150 is a worse 'truck' because it more like a truck? The pro Ram argument amounted to "I don't like the Ford's color of leather (so order a different interior!)", and "I almost never use the bed or the trailer hitch, so I'll just ignore Ford's greater capabilities (so, why are you buying a truck, again?). I'm NOT saying the Ram isn't a better fit for some consumers. I'm saying that the arguments advanced for the Ram in this video are silly. All trucks are a compromise. Ford sells a lot of trucks because they understand truck buyers better than anyone else. They have a wider selection of engines, trim levels, and options than anyone else. This allows individual buyers to strike the compromise that suits their needs the best. Again, I'm not saying Ram isn't better for some segment of the market. I just doubt we'll be here a year from now remarking on how Ram dethroned Ford as the market leader.

RAM has the better suspension. But the hell with that normal Driving the 3.5 and hemi are closer in fuel mileage. Plus you don't buy a truck for fuel mileage.

I'll sum it up for you: Ford - a truck for people who do truck things. Ram - a truck for people that would be mad if they scratched the paint in the bed of their truck.

Just bought a new RAM 1500 last week. Outrageously good truck. Can’t sing its praises loud enough.

That's a very nice RAM 1500, though I am not interested in the $70k edition, I'm more interested in the $35-40k editions. I recently bought a 2018 F150 Sport with the 2.7tt. A similarly equipped Laramie crew cab with the 5.7L runs around $44k, but after discounts and some negotiating they can be had for around $35k. Both solid trucks in my opinion; the 5.7 with the 8sp is a super reliable combination, the 2.7 with the 10sp is more frugal and lighter on its feet. With the added port injection added to the 2018 F150s, full E85 tuning is now a possibility with otherwise stock 2.7s pushing well past 400 whp on tuning and E85 alone.

As a GM fan I would have to go with the ford, the ram has beautiful styling however chrystler and reliability don’t go well together.

Got to love the water that was flowing into my 2019 Ram Limited. Ram is shine than the Ford but it lacks quality underneath all the tech. Ram service departments suck where I live.

Let's be honest, realistically you won't be getting 25mpg in that F-150, in fact a lot of owners on the forums will tell you it's actually quite bad. It all just depends on your driving.

Domestic truck quality and resale value aside, Ram has nailed it. They built the most impressive truck package by far. The problem with most people is that they put too much emphasis on the numbers instead if real substance and content. I'm from a predominantly GM family and the Ford and GM loyalty BS goes back a long time with generations of family members loyal to one brand or another. I would know, I can't bare to put a Ford in my driveway but I dont drive a GM either. I drive the truck that suits my needs perfectly. My Ram has a vastly superior interior with superb ergonomics, smoother ride and there's more then enough power and torque from the 5.7L. I like the size and feel if the steering wheel, I like to door panel layout with the various cubbies and shelves, I like the seat comfort level and the fact that the material has held up so well.

Ram is the king 2019 truck of the year.

Ram by far. I had them all except Ram Chrysler and this year I purchased 2019 Longhorn. Wow without a doubt by far Ram is the way to go.

I still love my '15 2.7. F150. Simple and can carry over a ton. Plus passengers. I'm not a tower just a hauler. Fun on the curves to Keanae Maui. Pull trees out the way. Pull other trucks out of the sand,mud,or ditch. Like a lifted 2010 mustang. Chee hooo.

You're absolutely right about the F-150 back seat. I wanted a family truck went to the car show F150 back seat is very uncomfortable the thigh cushion is too low and your knees sit almost to your chest. 2019 Ram it is.

The F150 is probably vastly more reliable, something that reviews seldom mention. All the equipment and numbers are subjective. Some need or want this or that and so on. How does it hold up? How soon does I.e. the water pump fail on a Ram? How about everything else? Yup. Available data suggests that the Ford has a lot less problems which is probably why they sell a LOT more trucks. BTW I have a Ram and while I like it in terms of power comfort and design I am not too impressed with reliability. Back to Ford next time? Maybe.

All though I love the interior of the Ram, having driven both, I would never “choothe” it over an F-150.

If your some rich guy in a suit I'm sure you'll get the Ram limited, same with the Ford f150 limited, most blue collar working families will go with the lower to middle of the road package, and in that case the Ford F150 is a better choice for me. Also modifying your truck is half of the fun try putting a lift on the ram with the air suspension...

Ram 1500 is the perfect city truck. It's a blast to drive but after 20,000 miles that smooth ride deteriorates. I also have a 2016 fi50 and the ride is exactly the same at 40k as it was new. And that's after using it in the field.

I feel the F-150 is just a better well-rounded vehicle yes the ram has a better interior in a sense but F-150 is not that bad that was described in the back seats are not that uncomfortable in my opinion but since the Rams new on the market it does have a few advantages but the Ford is a better all-around vehicle and towing fuel economy power and with the 10-speed automatic it seems a better choice in my opinion

I like the openness and visibility of the F150. It doesn't feel confined and you can see around you which is very safe.

Great video I own since new a 2002 F150 XLT Super Cab 5.4 Triton 2 valve 4x4 with 4 speed auto 135,000 miles with 3.55 tow package and happy that I get 13 mpg.

Ram is the way to go I have had more trouble with my F150 with 61k miles than I had on my ram which had 480k miles

I need the 3 big guys to make a truck that is just a truck, nothing else, based luxuries like A/C and power windows, and a big ol' turbodiesel.

Why buy new? Just picked up a 2014 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman Crew cab with the 5.7, 3.92 rear end with only 62,000 miles. Rated to tow 10,300 lbs and has a 6’4 bed. Rides great and feels more like a truck than my 09 Avalanche (for obvious reasons). I drove a 2013 Ford F150 5.0 and liked it as well but it sold before I was ready to buy. Both are good trucks compared to GM.

As pretty as those Rams are, they have really soft paint. I have heard of a few instances that the paint chips really easily, and I have a friend whose 2019 Ram Longhorn has his paint cracking on the front fenders and good, and he only has had his truck for 2 months. FCA told him that they are investigating his claim and have heard several complaints about the paint. His truck is black. Has anyone else heard of the Ram's paint being overly sensitive?

Will always buy a Ford, know why? They focus on what trucking really is. They been setting the bars for years. What I find so funny, in 2018 everyone saying the F150 interior looked so refined and have that overall truck feel to it and was preferred over the Chevy and Ram. We kept hearing F150 rides nice, has the best rear passenger seating, etc. And all of a sudden when Ram and Chevy redesigned their trucks for 2019, people making it seems the F150 sucks and its the worst. I personally know the F150 isnt that bad the way they make it seems. Yea, must admit the new Ram interior is nice and more refines than that of the F150 but to my preference would still go Ford, it just feels more of an interior that belongs in the truck with just the right balance of luxury and truck feel also F150 interior can be found in the new Expedition which everyone says it looks good and yea all of a sudden the Ford Sync 3 turns garbage overnight....sigh. Yea got to admit the new Ram looks nice but the F150 delivers more on the truck feel and performance. Btw the wood that you said is fake AutoGuide is real wood. Lets see what Ford will bring in 2020, the exterior design of the F150 can stay and interior doesnt need a all new update. Guy in stripes hands down a Ford hater

Based on the history of each, which will still be the most trouble free after 70000 miles. All trucks are reliable when new but get some miles on them & then decide.

Ram is simply the better truck and you get a lot more for your money. Not to mention the fuel economy is about the same when the Ram has the eTorque

70 grand for a truck is ridiculous. It will be a rusted $500 beater before the 84 month financing is done.

For some strange reason, everyone compares the Ram with the Ford F-150 Limited.... the F-150 Limited has a hideous blue interior that only works with certain exterior colors (2019 is changing that). Reviewers tend to love the western stitching on the Ram.... so, Compare the Ram against the F-150 King Ranch. Also, when interiors get to the size of these trucks, you aren't going to notice an inch of difference in size, I doubt most people could even figure out where the dimension is taken from. The only thing the Ram interior has over Ford or GM is that massive touch screen. I have test driven the Ram twice and neither time did the touch screen work. Ram also has that ridiculous rotary knob gear selector. As far as comfort on the seats... it all depends on how you are built. Some will find one seat more comfortable than another. (BTW, the Ford also has massage.) I am also tired of hearing about sound. Sure, a V8 has a deeper tone, but I am more of a put up or shut up kind of guy. I admit, that when I first learned about the V6 being more powerful than the V8 it hurt my head and took me a long time to adjust to the idea. The Ecoboost beats the Hemi in every way that truly counts in a truck... not only that, it will scream past the Ram in race. Things that I like about Ram over the Ford... I love the wheel options on the Rams, the Ford wheels look awful. The Ride in the Ram is smoother and handling is a bit better. If you are used to driving trucks, and haven't had a new truck in a long while, the Ford will still drive much better than your old truck so it is still an upgrade. Having test driven the various Fords, Rams and the new Chevy/GM, my selection all came down to what my priorities were in a truck, and I can guarantee you that a video game looking display consul isn't on my list of priorities.

My 2018 Ford F150 Limited has pwr folding mirrors, pwr tilt telescopic steering wheel, massaging seats, 36 gallon fuel tank, rear bed step assist, 360 camera view, and memory seating for 3. Plus, for security, inside cabin has 4 proximity sensors. When armed, anyone approaching (about 18 inches))vehicle when window/windows down triggers alarm. All features that a 2019 Ram Limited doesn't have. Yes, no pwr folding tow mirrors, 360 camera view, if your 2019 Ram Limited has towing package. I'd be taking a step backwards buying a 2019 Ram Limited with or without the tow package.

That huge screen in Ram is the biggest gripe of current Ram owners , buggy, freezes a lot and sometimes shuts down and restarts by itself . However v8 F150 is more reliable except for any ecocrap badge.

I would wish FCA would let some of their work on the RAM trucks trickle down to their cars. Lord knows they need to develop all-new 300/Charger/Challengers.

Personally, we’ve been looking at Rams because we will be getting an RV soon and have a family of 5. We’re coming from a minivan so we want something closer to that than “heavy construction worker build”. This video just sealed it for me... we’re getting a ram.

Millennials shouldn’t try to rate trucks. Driving one around like a car is not a test. Pull something, go off road, load some stuff in the bed. So they are right the ram is a better car. The f150 is the better truck.

My neighbor bought the same Ram truck and it’s been in the shop 3 times already. I couldn’t believe that. I work with a guy who has the 2.7 ecoboost and it has over 250,000 miles on it and runs like a champ. I just bought a 2019 F150 and I’ll take it over the Ram. Also buying a hamburger is slot different from buying a truck morons. There is a reason Ford has been kicking ass for so long coming from a former Chevy owner.

These guys reviewing trucks is about as useful as a long haul trucker reviewing lingerie. Holy shit I feel gayer having watched this.

Very disingenuous to quote the payload towing and MPG numbers from very different trucks and then to attach those numbers to the Ford or the Ram. The F150 Limited I can assure you cannot tow 13k haul 3k and will get nowhere even close to 25 MPG. You should only quote the specs of the particular truck you are testing. Numbers are likely closer to to 8k towing 1.3k payload and if you are lucky you will average 17-18 mpg.

Here is the true fact nobody says is for engineering doesnt let you work on the truck. For makes it where the truck has to be brought to the dealer to fix anything... prove me wrong.

Any pickup truck or SUV should just stay on the right lane anyways no matter if it is empty or loaded. F150 feel more rugged and the plastic uses are suitable for work than the fancier Ram which is more passenger focus. I guess also fuel consumption and reliablity also flavor the ford due to the uconnect is laggy and FCA tends have electrical problem. If a companh buy a truck, it definitely go to the F150 and if a family needs a truck, it will go for the Ram

Just face it. Dodge, GM, Toyota, Nissan, all put their trucks up against Ford. Even in their commercials. Why? Because Ford is top Dog. If they compared them to one another they would just be competing for second place.

Trucks are made like mini vans now. Ram has a page from the caravan in this truck . The shape of the dash and knobs are the same. Who wants a gigantic cab and a little box unless you just drive it not use it. If you want a real truck you gotta go 3/4 ton.

Yes the center touch screen looks great but its performance is not good. The seat stitching is ugly. The rims are ugly. And the total Q1 sales numbers are well below the F150. I still want to test drive one anyway.
