John Taylor absolutely! If I remove my baffles from my Fuel Moto Jackpots it gets loud. But I lose that low end neck snap. This video is with the Cobra Neighbor Haters, they would not run very good with the 475c cam.
Only that the throttle response is very off or on. And sometimes at a long stop light when it gets into a chop chop idle, I find I have to blip the throttle a bit when the the light turns green to get a smooth take off. I chalk it up to the nature of the cam or the fact that it is a canned tune. I seriously need to invest into a dyno tune, but being in California finding a shop can be a challenge
It’s loud specially with a head pipe but if you like loud then your good. For me it was the tuning. The cobras didn’t have enough back pressure. So I went with the jackpots from Fuel Moto. Plenty loud plus tunable baffles. But best of all zero flat spots in the lower rpm’s. I use the power vision from FM with a their turn
I’ve changed to the Jackpot pipes and fuel Moto sp header. The intake is a HD screaming eagle high flow ratchet. Those were cobras but they were ridiculously loud In my opinion after the cam
Not sure 🤔 but I do know for sure at 75 it runs at 2500, and at 80 it’s about 2800-2900. I have analog gauges. So my guess is maybe 3300 at 90??? I’ll check it out next time I got room to go that fast 💨💨, there’s always tons of cars and traffic here in SoCal
I think it depends on your riding style, call “Fuel Moto” they can give you some good advice. Also, check out “Moonshine Harley’s” channel, they have great cam comparison videos
@@robertdavis5495 Thanks Robert.....I've been watching Jamie's videos for almost a year now. A lot of good info there, but not a lot on the 22XE. I'll talk to Fuel Moto before I buy (I have a cart full of stuff there now). No matter what, it seems very subjective....different experts make different recommendations using the same data to arrive at different conclusions.
@@jerrym2321 the reason I went with the S&S was the aggressive lope in the idle. I don’t do much touring but if I did I would’ve gone with the woods. Not that the S&S isn’t “tourable” so to speak. But I think the woods would be smoother and maybe easier to tune possibly.
@@robertdavis5495 Great minds Robert.....I've been thinking the same thing for the same reason.....love the idle lope of the 475. But the new 22XE has a fairly aggressive lope and seems to have a smoother power curve. They are both great cams and S&S sure makes it easy to purchase their kit.
With this tune from Fuel Moto it seems to kick in really good at 2500 3500 rpm and keeps pulling. But I really try not to go much past 5000 I have a 2014 Hayabusa as well and to me this cam is more neck snapping then then my Busa. Now granted the Busa’s torque is abundant but it’s very smooth. But this 475c cam makes this big twin a rip snorting beasts and raw but definitely cruisable
The FP3 had a hard time tuning the cam. I had to call several times for adjustments. But it never ran smoothly. It had a big flat spot at 2800 rpm or so. I upgraded to the power vision with a Fuel Moto tune, runs amazing. FP3 just sits useless in my garage 😕
@@robertdavis5495 appreciate the information. I have the FP3 as well which came on the bike because of the previous owner. I've heard a number of people say the same thing about the FP3 and cams. I'm planning on doing the same thing.
It’s a Supertrapp head pipe, Fuel Moto sells it a the “SP” head pipe. It’s mild steel not stainless so its a budget pipe. But it’s well made and the heat shields fit perfectly and is still holding up. If you look at my walk around video that’s how it sounds now with the Jackpot mufflers, instead of the Neighbor Haters www.fuelmotousa.com/i-23897869-jackpot-head-pipe-2-1-2-sp-mild-steel-m8.html
Mostly because of the good reviews an hp gains. If I was going to do a big bore kit with bigger throttle body ect I would have went 468. And I like the idle.
Dillon Nash my wife likes it more the I do. For me when I sit on it, it feels like I’m sitting on top of the bike and not it. I have the Mustang lowdown o the way I had the Mustang wide tripper and it was perfect but the wife didn’t like it
I believe it was at 1,000rpm. But that was with the Vance and Hines FP3 tuner, which never ran right with that cam. Since then I have the Power Vision tuner and runs much better
