2019 Slingshot Radio and Backup Cam Update

Still working on the stereo in my 2019 Slingshot. Its been bitter cold outside so I've only went out there a couple times and messed with it. Just finally got the backup camera all buttoned up, now I really just have to insulate the radio cavity, run the camera RCA, and the amp RCA's and it'll be done for the most part.
Thanks for watching. Lots of Slingshot videos coming this year while I modify this thing!

I'm installing a backup camera but having issues tapping into the backup light. It turned on constantly but that's not what I got. There's 5 wires in the plug. I thought it was the white one but still not working properly. Which Color is the backup light one?

Hey my step brother bought a radio Installation kit with a marine radio to smack inside his slingshot .. he removed the original radio but don’t see the wiring for the speakers and what not do you have a video where you show how to plug the radio inside ? I’d greatly appreciate since there’s none out there !

Did you use a seperate harness to connect the speakers? Or since it didnt have anything you didnt need a harness

How did you get this to fit back in the dash. I have same thing and it seems as if I'll have to cut the bottom out of the slot it fits in to

Edward Jones Yeah I had to cut inside of where the radio sits, I just used a sawzall, this kit puts the radio at too far of an angle down which makes it not fit. It’s really a terribly designed kit

Vel F This one is from UAS, I believe it’s the only option for 2018/2019 models, and I don’t recommend it at all unfortunately. Very overpriced and mine is literally falling apart

Is it weather proof? are you concerned about rain?

It's not, but a drop of rain here and there won't hurt it. I take it to the carwash at least once a week and everything gets pretty wet. I've recently changed this unit out though for a Pioneer double din. I tried to convince myself that this Dual unit wasn't bad, but audio quality was just horrible compared to any good name brand unit - even with me using amps.
