We have our hands on a 2020 300 RR and Beta Just dropped the details on the 2020 Race Edition models today. See video from the Ohio show featuring the 2020 RE • 2020 Beta 300 rr Racing
Agreed! Mine are leaking so I threw the stockers back on for today's ride and boy did I miss the KYB's! And my stockers are revalved and pretty good for Sachs open chambers!
Thanks for the Shout Out! Feel free to grab any video clips off my channel if you ever want to use them. A little mention like that is all I ask for Thanks
Thanks, that means a lot. We've both been doing this for under a year and it's been an interesting journey so far Excited to keep growing and see where this goes
I wish they would have done the KYB rear too. Maybe next year. They might have had a bunch already purchased so they are using them up. But yeah, not many people are excited about having Sachs as a feature.
I've had good luck with my 2019 Sachs so far. WER did both ends and for my rocky goat trails it's been great. I have KYB forks also, but only because the Marzocchi forks from my 300RE died an early death.
Can you compare the vibrations to the KTM/Husky? Is it just as smooth? Sold my much loved 2014 300RR for a new Husky because of the lack of vibes on the Husky. Would love to come back to the Beta if the motor is as smooth as my Husky.
Can’t wait to hear more info on the 2020’s. How did the factory do with greasing everything? I was trying to decide between a 2019 200rr or a 2018 KTM 150 and am running out of time to pick up leftovers. Thank you for all the information you provide. Is the wire harness and connections better? Glad to see Beta listening to feedback and making improvements. And of course the big question, is it worth waiting for the 2020 if I’m looking at the 200rr?
The wiring is definitely cleaned up. Much better than previous years. Grease is hit or miss. On this bike all of the linkage had grease except for the lower shock bearing...bone dry. We take all of our bikes apart and grease prior to riding for piece of mind! regardless of brand.
Racing seat cover is way thicker and more durable than the standard cover.I should know.I replaced my RE cover because I didn't like the colours going with a standard RR cover instead.Night and day difference in construction.
Totally true! The racing seat cover is some serious material. Unfortunately, it makes the already firm seat even firmer feeling. If you don't mind that the seat cover will outlast the rest of the bike!
For some reason myself and many people I ride with are the minority on this subject, but we love the AER fork in technical rocky terrain. We do run the pressure WAY lower than what is recommended. For instance @ 230lbs geared up I ran 115-120 psi and the forks worked great is the slow rocky stuff and the air still ramped up quick enough to handle larger hits. I do love the consistency of my KYB forks, but would not rule out AER's either.
PrimalEnduro That’s interesting. I had been wondering if many of the people who weren’t so keen on the AER fork just didn’t know how to set it up properly. I love the KYB set up on my friend’s GasGas and am testing the Sherco 2020 Factory range on Saturday... I’ll see how I get on there.
