Graham Jarvis on ledge rock and students attempts. Graham makes everything look stupid easy! This rock was actually quite intimidating in real life!

These guys make you forget that the bikes weigh 110 kg or so.

2:13 Great job driving rear wheel into it, only error was not getting body forward over the bars to help set the front end down - bike left him behind. Try to kiss that front fender. More momentum can also compensate for this error. 2:47 Needs to ditch the rekluse :D great job tho 3:00 Hard to tell but he might be pulling in clutch when you need to leave that clutch out until back wheel is up 3:10 Let off and unloaded suspension too soon, do everything the same but try to drive through pegs longer and save that full unload for when rear wheel hits the kicker, also he probably still would have made it if he was further over the bars (a lot of folks are keeping too far back in this situation instead of maintaining a somewhat neutral body position and letting the bars come into their hips) 3:17 Looks like he pulled in clutch a bit too soon 3:22 He also lets off a tad early but has great body position, notice he's keeping body pretty neutral, letting bars come into him, and bending the elbows. Take it with a grain of salt as everything looks different on video and I'm just some guy on the internet after all. Edit: Watching the guy at 2:13 and all his other tries, he is very consistent and will be nailing this every time if he brings the bars into his hips and keeps a neutral and aggressive body position - right now it looks like he's bringing his hips to the bars instead of letting the bike come to him, and he's keeping the upper body a bit back, so when he corrects this one thing he's gonna be killin it. This might be nice in some situations where you're trying to hold pressure but for just getting up this rock where you have a somewhat awkward downhill approach that's just going to be tough.

I always wonder what is Graham thinking when us mere mortals attempt these skills

He's probably thinking...."I hope I don't get hit by a flying bike"

his pivot turn at the start...RPMs remained at or below idle. its some kind of magic. he must have made a deal with rumplestiltskin (or worse) to have those skills

I am pretty sure I can get up over that, but to make a front wheel hop and left turn smoothly, not very likely. Lol
