I just picked up the new 2020 BMW M340i. I went through a few options of cars I was considering including the Toyota Supra. Heres what I decided and why.
Nice spec! About to bite the bullet myself. What'd they give you off MSRP? They're currently offering me all of them for cost but not sure if people are getting better deals.
GetWrexed awesome man congrats. I’ll have to pull out the paperwork to be sure but I think including factory rebates it was about 9k off. Make sure to subscribe. I’m about to drop the new video on the JB4 install
Dillon, Nice ride brotha! Good choice going with the lease btw. I did $0 money down and payment in the high 400s. Opted for Portimao Blue with a 58k MSRP and same options minus the heated steering wheel. Did you have the center dash plastic speaker grille rattling too by chance?
John M holy cow that’s a smokin deal congrats brother. No I haven’t had any rattles yet thank god. Just can’t get my wireless charger to work. I love the Portimao blue 🤤
First time on your channel. Can you go into why you chose RWD, since you are tuning for more performance? I also considered the Model 3P, Audi S5 Sportback, and M2, but ended up with M340i. I traded my F30 340i MSport RWD.
Mig Y great question. I live in Dallas so the need for awd isn’t a must. It’s another 2k on the price and I love getting these things sideways. I feel sometimes even more in control when autocrossing with rwd than when I drove my Wrx.
Dillon Simpson I’m in Dallas too. I chose RWD because of lighter weight and better dynamics. I don’t plan to modify or race but I look forward to seeing what you do with yours!
Dillon Simpson You probably already know that Classic BMW hosts a Cars and Coffee every month. You should mention it on your channel if you plan to make it out there.
Hey Dillon, nice to see you love this car. I am in the same situation, I do not want to screw up warranty but I would love to have a tune on that one. How many hp the JP4 adds on top and do you really feel a difference?
TonyQuaz great question. I ended up leasing this one. I did get a great deal as I used to sell cars and have bought a lot of cars as well. I shopped price hard got a total of about 9k off including 1500 bmw cash. Payment is under 600.
@@dillonsimpson3172 Wow!!! Thats a good discount right there and I bet you brought all your sales skills out. Did you get good yearly mileage with them since you and leasing and as you know everything is bigger in Texas before you know it you already clocked 15k miles in a year. Thats my only concern with leasing
TonyQuaz I’m never worried about mileage on leases. I did a 10k mile. Which I won’t go over anyway. The only time mileage will effect you in a lease is it you turn it back in at the end. I’ve only turned one car in. Usually I’ll just trade it early like in a year or two. You can also sell your remaining lease as well on places like lease swap.
@@stsk69 Honestly if I had to do it again, I would choose an M340i easily, over a Supra. Yeah the Supra does look more aggressive, but I just can’t do a 2 seater. I don’t have kids right now either, but if I simply wanted to take some friends or family out to dinner, it’s useless. I can’t really do a road trip with friends either since it only fits 2. The main thing of all, is this xDrive! The awd was a must for me, and the interior, is just miles better in the M340i any day of the year. Plus Supras are going for slightly more, and I can’t really justify the price difference, specially when you get more in the M340i.
I had my heart set on a mk5 supra. Then I drove one and the inside was absolute cheap junk. I have never sat in a more junky feeling car in my life. The driving was also underwhelming to be honest. The next day I went to drive a m340i and I was BLOWN away at how much better it is in every way.
