Honestly the only thing I wish I would have got on my car is the upgraded sound system but even that can be fixed. Everything else I feel is unnecessary or you can add yourself. The one thing that separates the lt1 vs the ss is the dash. That’s the one thing I wish I had but you can’t really add that. For the price point though, it’s well worth not having it... & if you want to be the fastest kid on the block get the a10. Otherwise, a m6 as low optioned as possible will get you your biggest bang for buck
Brendan Acosta Man love the car it’s best money from the horse power and I had a 2018 SS and traded for my LT1 for cheaper payment and insurence and the car is basically the same
Just saw this video. I have a 21 LT1 with the 10 speed automatic. Put Firestone Indy 500's on it. Same size. Only tried two attempts at 0-60. First try was 4.6(in touring mode). 2nd try was 4.3(in sport mode). I don't believe the automatics have launch control. You just leave traction control on, mash the gas and let go the brake. Btw, it'll do better than 4.3 in the right conditions.
U just need some practice. Revs to high with those tires. The no lift can actually hurt 0-60 time as well. You'll get those times down with some quality 255's without having to change rims. Thanks for sharing those secrets!
I’ve heard someone else say the no lift can actually be slower. I’ll have to check that out. Also I’m not sure if I can change the rpms that it launches at as far as I know .... Car def needs proper tires though . Thanks for commenting 🙏
I've gotten 5.3-5.4 seconds not even using launch control with my 6-speed manual without much effort. I haven't even fully sent it yet, still had some more.
I think you may be dropping the clutch to quick. It recommends a quick release, but not instant release of the clutch. Also the road quality could be playing a part, Mexico and their roads.
My 21 camaro does 3.9-4.3 consecutively with a 6 speed.. in a 6 speed and 245 tires with crappy roads... 5.5? Geeze...making a video just to show you. When you floor it and car revs to 4,000... slightly let off and drop rpms to 3,200. Works for me every time.
Thanks for sharing, good stuff. Not to dog on you but you shifting seems kinda slow, maybe it’s the video but it seems heavy (riding) eon the clutch? I don’t think all your time is lost just on the launch although you should be able to tweak that 4K number maybe something else will get you out of the hole faster. I’ll have to put my money where my mouth is and give it a go.
I love my LT1 only problem I’ve got is there is a clunk coming from the rear end and the dealer can’t figure out what it is anyone else having this issue?
realized on automatic shifting the 0-60 is so much faster. and i got it on stock tires. and the shifts between 1-2nd gear are better in the middle of 5-6rpms than 2-3rd gear drag it all the way to 6 and boom that’s a 4 sum guarantee
In the Auto, anything above 2200RPM is too much torque for the rear brakes to handle (rear wheels start spinning) even while pushing as hard as you could on the brake pedal. Ask me how I know ;) Plus at higher RPM, you risk overheating the torque converter.
The automatic Camaro LT1 as what I've seen does a consistent 3.9-4.2 nothing higher then 4.2 and for you manual to do a 5.8 thats pretty gross my guy love the car but you gotta get them times down cuz it's driver error in that case
