Isn't Amaze their bread and butter... It had record bookings or something during launch and still sells nicely. Overall good package and much better built than tin can alternative

185 section tires 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ honda at it again It's strange because the tires of the amaze are very proportionate to the body, why can't they do the same with city
Company designes a car and its wheels in proportion to efficiently concur its overall ability. We indians want wider wheels because we see it in audi or merc . But we need to understand that they are costlier car for a reason.
The design is just not ok for me..it's disproportionate from certain angles..looks like a bigger amaze..it has lost the charm of the earlier generation cities. Disappointed with Honda.
In my opinion it looks more mature and sturdy. I think they have adopted German design strategy. The tail lights reminds me of BMW. Trust me it doesn't look like amaze, infact it has a slight resemblance to the 2nd generation honda city. 😊
I like the design inside and out, except for its nose. That chrome strip seems not as pronounced as on the Amaze, which is the single reason that makes me hate it to my guts. I liked the earlier designs, but I like this (matured) one better!
Still nothing can beat the looks of the 3rd Gen Honda City, especially the 2013 facelift edition. It's a tank of a car. I currently own a 2014 VMT but I always miss my 2010 S MT.

AAKASH GUPTA well you don’t need ventilated seats when u can now switch on the ac by the app before entering the car.... i feel honda has chosen features that we usually use.
@@vishnukarthik801 even if u can have remort start n can turn on AC to pre cool the cabin , Ventilated seats are for providing ventilation for our back which will sweat over long hours in the seat , especially in summers n mid afternoon drives
@@vishnukarthik801 That's a hectic task bro... We don't often use remotely switching on the ac... I would prefer ventilated seats over a sweaty back on arrival... For the back seat city is a clear winner... Had they given electric seat adjust and ventilated seats city would have been a clear winner on all fronts

Pros: The backlight looks sleek and bad ass. Cons: 1.What’s up the silver chrome in the front grill..? It looks really Bad. 2.the Wheel is too small. Verna Looks much better

A flexible and refined engine, comfortable cabin, debatable fuel efficiency, decent specs and features. Since I don't mind small wheels, I see this car as an absolute winner. Not the biggest fan of honda but this tempted me to try it out.
It still misses out ventilated seats, rear disc brakes and even electric adjust for the driver seat, but otherwise, it's absolutely lovely.....I like the instrument cluster of this car, very well executed.

I liked this more than Verna. This is amazing and one of the iconic cars of India. There are 5 cars popular and iconic: Scorpio-Offroading, Bolero-agriculturing, XUV- as a best SUV, XYLO as a best Family car and Honda City as a best family sedan. These cars are the main iconic cars of India.
I like the new City look. It looks more mature both the interior and exterior. If I was in the market to buy a sedan it would probably buy this. It would be a great daily driver.
I absolutely love Honda City’s and our family owned every generation since the Type 2! As good as this engine is, this is not a value proposition anymore. The rapid rider at 7.50L (exshowroom) looks way too sweet a deal. And to top that 6 year warranty too!
@Suchitra Yadav you are absolutely right..... The German engineering, driving dynamics, handling, ride quality, safety, high speed stability, etc are just unmatchable.
Because you own it. That's old AF. You will find this car a segment or 2 above Vento in terms of looks, features , space , refinement everything. It gave the handling part to aid ride quality which is also much better than Vento. Test drive it to believe it

Expecting a panoramic sunroof for small sedan is bit over enthusiastic rest of your needs are genuine. But why a parking brake switch? Old classical mechanical parking brake lever is charming in all means. Colours must be added
I personally like the older look of the Honda City, the mono chrome grill just dosen't enhance the beauty of it. Personally i liked the older grill. But nothing beats the ivtec
Been a Fan of city. Using city zx 2006 model from brand new to now 1.9 lakh kms. Brings smile everytime I start driving it with super refinement and slick and smooth gearshift (like a butter knife) and nice clutch. It's the car one can't just let go. And also, car won't give up either with its reliability.
The shape of 2020 Honda city is excellent.The DRL lights and rear tail lamps looks awesome. The interiors looks nice. The car looks are premium.Only the car is missing one thing that is the engine of the car which is non turbo. If the engine would be turbo caharge than it could be more great in power.
I'm still driving the 2006 Honda City ZX model. And it still can clock 150 kmph without a sweat and is smooth as butter for the most part. These beasts never die. Japanese engineering for the win!
For it's pricing they should have given it ventilated seats, adjustable rear headrests, foldable rear seats and maybe electrically adjustable driver seat atleast.. They have skipped on bringing in the more enthusiastic 1.0L turbo petrol.. The above said features would have knocked out the competition right at the launch itself but Honda have missed to cash in on the opportunity... Maybe all this would come in the next facelift but by that time the competition would have added even more features than what Honda would offer
@@monkeymi4912 No way in the near future bro... Honda haven't set the sales cash counters wringing anywhere apart from southeast Asian countries.. They still are a significant player in the market... Amaze is doing good and the city was also doing decent sales numbers... Honda moving outta India is not in the immediate vicinity
Yes it misses on ventilated seats but it gives you india first Alexa telematics,g meter,lane watch camera, ambeient lighting which verna doesn't offer rear also the brightness of the touchscreen has been reduced to prevent glare while driving but yes it did backfire a bit cause they reduced more than required

Man a car selling for 21 years and is the most successful mid size sedan in India cannot be ruined. It is Honda's bread and butter car. This will always be the best in class. People say Verna is better but does Verna's engine perform like this guy. Take 1.5 petrol manual and just try to drive it on highway and trust me your view will definitely change.
Omg !! I saw the thumbnail and thought amaze's 2020 facelift is out then when i read fhe title i was astonished. Seriously i m not making this up Honda plz bring back the 2019 city back Idk what has happened to these automobile brands now a days hyundai totaly ruined the verna, creta and the elentra . Now its honda ruining the city
The city has once again grown up to be the leader of the class with its sheer driveability, comfort & looks, though not the sportiest car of all. Just wish those wheels were little bigger to a rather perfect package !
Sad to note that Honda doesn't have any turbo charged petrol engines. Diesel variant still lacks the punch with just 200Nm while the competition has 250Nm. However true to the name CITY, it has a great CVT and supreme front seats which is what most people need. And the name Honda means hassle free ownership.
The thing is honda comes with great engine quality, that is the main thing for me. Not only that ciaz, vento, verna doesn't have that great engine quality. The only two things as per my view honda lacks of 1. Features & 2. Marketing
Such a shame. Automakers are taking Indian Market for granted. Why isn't Honda bringing their top-notch quality to India? The city is much more efficient in Foreign Countries. They even have a PHEV model outside. No 360deg cameras, No ventilated Seats, No Panoramic Sunroof? No connected Cars?

I like how the design has matured and like Gavin, I absolutely love the rear! I really wish they would drop that chrome strip on the nose, though! The interiors look good and that rear seat is a boon for the chauffeur-driven customers, which are the usual buyers of the City. As apparent with the decision to sell it alongside the older car, this is going to be (more) expensive and thus would not do much for the 'City' and Honda. Maybe it is intentional, as Honda seems to have made peace with their position in the market. I wish that wasn't the case, as that could have brought both the 'City' and 'Honda' brands to its former glory!
The most spacious , undersized wheels and maybe not balanced design , legroom like a lounge here , soft city suspension and 5 star build quality here comes the hector of the segment the new Honda city 🔥
My last two cars were Honda City. Last one which still I use had so many problems. Any times some noise keeps on coming. Body and plastic parts were too weak. Never enjoyed. Earlier model was too good.
I really like honda cars, currently have a honda jazz and looking to upgrade to city in coming months. I really liked the comprehensive reveiw, gives a good idea to the consumers who are looking to buy.
No matter how good car is, but now in india sub 4 meter cars are new trend. I hope Honda city will survive in this, its a really good car. Looks are subjective but overall car is good.
It's design may not be up with everyone's likings, but mind you, that it's still a City, it still has that brilliant petrol engine, and, moreover, it's still a Honda.
both city and verna are good... Verna plus points: -much better diesel engine -more better build quality -more features -more stunning alloys Now honda city plus point -better petrol engine -Very good steering feedback -more spacious -better fuel economy
Good review of a really refreshed and good looking car. But in order to bring back people from those flocking to buy SUVs(Creta/Seltos), City needs to do more... 1. A panoramic sunroof. 2. Ventilated seats. 3. Audio system with subwoofer....all of which are available in competition. All three can be easily added to city even if it makes the price increased by 1 lakh to the top model....Honda is yet to understand new Indian customer preferences. And finally, a sliding driver arm rest too...all these would have made a perfectly desirable package. Honda cannot afford to kill this product in India like what they did with BRV, current Civic etc. They can charge a premium, but they cannot skip features in India any more. Wish a city ZXI plus coming soon with these feel good features!
It's better now, maybe not as good as Honda but way better than terrible state some 10-11 years ago I've known several recent Polo buyers and all of their opinion is that service is a bit more relatively xpensive, but there is nothing shady happening.
@@eriktenhag2022 even after spending 6 months at the service center the problems never ended. Everytime i took the car back from the servicr center it had some new issue.. with the brakes, AC, gear box, ABS, battery, ECU.. owning that car was a nightmare.. SPENT 17 LAKHS ON repairs in a span of 8 YEARS. Buying it was the worst decision of my life.
Skoda has improved a lot. I have a Skoda for last 9 years and in Bangalore so can surely say that. They are v careful in handling customers and customer experience n satisfaction

I think it is a big enough change from the old one because it has changed a lot from the old honda city. And I like the steering and the infotainment system. It bit looks like the Honda civic.
