Just got my 2020 Elantra in January, and I’m loving it. It’s been a great commuter car so far. I live in Atlanta and do a ton of highway driving. I’m averaging about 35-40 mpg right now. Hope to have this car for a while! :)
I used to have this car in the exact same color. It’s a damn shame that Hyundai decided to be cheap and not give the car an immobilizer. I had it from October 2020 - February 2024. Someone stole it, it was found and declared a total loss. I ended up getting a 2024 Honda HR-V EX-L as my new car. I love it 💗 but sometimes I miss my Hyundai because it was my first car and the mileage was better 😢.
Sorry to hear that! You’re actually the second person to comment that their Elantra got stolen. You are better off at the Honda anyway. Thanks for watching!
ChiChi It was $13375 after I had all the deals applied to it but then the taxes, fees, gap insurance, and extended warranty made it $20000. Hyundai had a deal where If you financed through them, you’d get $1000 off the car. Then there was a first responder discount for $500 and a college grad discount for $400. I think it was definitely a good deal because I don’t have to pay for any repairs because of the warranty and if something were to happen to the car and it was a total loss, the gap insurance would cover it. Every other dealer was trying to charge $16000+ for it even though they knew the 2021 model was coming out. I thought it was a good deal for a new car.
@@MzDeAndraJhene Oh ok sounds like a good deal seeing how the MSRP had it at about $20k to begin with. Does the first responder discount apply to everyone? I was thinking of financing through my bank but if it’s a better deal with Hyundai I rather do that then. The car I want now is like 20k before freight, title, tag plus dealers fees and the convenience + premium packages. Oh well it’ll probably gotta be up there in pricing lol
I love this car. Very efficient and smart considering gas mileage. Yes there are better cars but for the price you get alot of good features and yes tge CVT isn't my favorite feature but hey I needed a new car my 09 chevy impala needed alot of work and was basically falling apart so I love this. Mine is grey black
I got a great deal on a 2020 SEL Red Elantra just like this one. I got a great deal with almost 4 grand off the MSRP. So far it has been a fine No problems. Comfortable on long trips. I would recommend it to anyone.
I have had this car for nearly 3 years and aboutr 25k miles. No problems. Did have the software update to prevent theft and the engine takes a long time to warm up in cold weather. Otherwise, I love this car.
I noticed when you put it into manual mode you didn't actually toggle the drive mode and set it to Sport, makes a huge difference in throttle feel and response as well as steering weight and feel. I have a 2016 Sonata and manual mode without Sport mode is kinda pointless. Makes a pretty big difference in performance.
This color is so eye catching i want to get the exact same car plus it has all the options it''s good it has a blindspot mirrior i wouldn't need to turn my neck
Hey Brian, I actually have a white 2020 Elantra SEL just like that as a rental right now (hit a deer with my car lol 🦌) I didn’t think I’d like it but I’m actually pretty surprised with it, even more so when you throw in the great price point. The pearl paint makes it look more expensive than it is, the interior looks good especially in all black, and is more comfortable and roomy than expected. Even the touchscreen is good, and more responsive than in many more expensive cars. Yeah there are some points where you can tell Hyundai had to cut costs, but even the hard plastic is better than many in this class But what surprised me the most is the CVT... I hate those with a passion (Though I dislike most dual clutch transmissions even more...such as that PowerShit unit I’m know you are more than familiar with) But I actually don’t hate this CVT! Is it the greatest thing ever, no. But it’s by far the best CVT I’ve yet driven (by far!) and the first and only one I actually wouldn’t mind owning! Yeah, I had to check if hell was freezing over as well haha 😂 And I much prefer this over the 2021 Elantra The 2021 is...let’s be kind, let’s say odd... Overall the 2020 Elantra is pretty damn good car for the price! One I’d surprisingly recommend! Take care!
Thanks for the comment Aaron! Sorry to hear about your car. Hyundai and CVT transmissions have really come a long way but I am still not sold on either on.......yet
@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS Thanks! My car should be done at the body shop in the next few days And not gonna lie, it took a few days for the CVT in this to win me over. I need to drive a 2017-19 with the 6 speed auto to compare it to. And maybe the 7 speed DCT in the Sport, but it’s not like Enterprise has that model lol Heard good things about it, and apparently the independent rear suspension on the Sport really improves the handling. Maybe I will try to track one down this week and see how much different (better lol) a used Sport is. If I can I will let you know what I think of it
Renting this car right now since my engine blew on my civic honestly This car is so much of an upgrade I’m considering one and the cvt took me away too and I honestly avoid any cvt I’d take a manual if I had to but this one is so smooth I didn’t want to believe it was a cvt. it drives so good I’m starting about getting one just worried about the reliability
Just drove a 2018 Elantra Eco 3400 miles round trip, from Colorado to North Carolina. Was very comfortable, way better than I thought it was going to be. I was very well impressed.
I drive the Kia 2017 forte. No regrets about the purchase but the thing I hate is the suspension. Its reliable but it bounces over bumps. Is there any suspension improvements with this car?
Too bad it was not equipped with a anti-theft device which led to thousands and thousands of stolen cars beginning in 2022 and still going on in 2024 mine was one of the stolen ones
i used to have a 2019 camry and it was slowwww. acceloration was very slow for a 203 hp. along with some other annoying things I sold that sucker. I bought the cheaper 2020 elantra value edition and its great. in sport mode acceloration is great. the elantra is quick.
